Yes - have been on offer 2 for £6 for ages.... They have got a blinkin cheek! Shouting about it as if it is a fantastic deal! Just like they are advertising 'You dont have to work out the VAT increase - we've done it for you - the price you see is the price you pay!' HOW WONDERFUL OF YOU - especially as they see it as an opportunity to slap a few more % on..... Daylight robbery!!!

Chickens were two for 7 quid at Tesco last week as well,i thought they'd gone up in price,it was like 4.50 for one!!

Think some places are taking the pee with the VAT increases etc.

I saw these chickens in Asda today, I've never seen such pathetic looking chickens. I doubt they'd taste any better than they look, I'll stick to my corn fed free range :3

even worse they think we are stupid. theres no vat on food!!!! yet they increase prices or make out they are doing us a favour by keeping some at same price ie tesco with their quiche advert!

Debenhams VAT increase last week was hilarious, items that were 4 quid/ish they added a pound on etc

There isnt any VAT on food that is correct, but the prices will still rise. You have to factor in the production costs which will attract the increase in some way.
