Isnt it funny how a lot of the best indie bands of the 90's had singers whom couldnt actually sing properly - Ash, oasis, stone roses, primal scream, shed seven, the bluetones, the charlatans. None of them can sing for toffee yet it was the way that the songs were sang, rather than the technical ability of the singer which made those bands great.

They declared that following this (very good) album they would no longer go down the usual route of recording an album every few years. Their plan was to 'take control' of their own releases and put tracks out via the web as and when they felt the need.

They're currently in the middle of a campaign releasing a different 'single' every fortnight for 52 weeks - the 'A-Z Series'. The tracks (most of which are excellent) are available via their site (www.ash-official.com).

(They are releasing a compilation CD of the first 13 in a couple of weeks though ;-))
