  If you look on ebay and do a search for john lewis sofas. As well as some very high quality second hand stuff there are also some places selling the same sofas direct.
  
  I cant vouch for all of them but I know in the past we have been really happy and the stuff is the same as current range john lewis/ m&s stock.
  
  We have 3 kids, dogs and cats so personally I prefer to buy a secondhand suite thats maybe a year or so old but is now £700 instead of the original 3k price tag. Less choice but best value for money purchase you can make.

  Yeah I've searched ebay but wasn't too keen on using unknowns... they are similar prices (around £600 mark)... definitely worth me doing another search for a decent second hand one tho i guess.

  just that ours is chenille and fabric instead of cord.
  speaking for our sofa, it's definitely not an £1100 sofa, it doesn't look like the sort of thing that will last much longer than five years.
  get yourself back on ebay and pick up a 2nd hand quality item, that's what i'll be doing in five years time :)
  
  and no sofa is cheap anymore after the sainsburys £174 corner group that was on here a couple of days ago :)

  OK I don't want to offend anyone who might have this sofa but so glad I got to see it today... man that's one ugly cheap looking piece of furniture! gonna expire this myself... not hot!
