I know the sizes are a bit limited online and you might have to pay postage, but I've seen these instore today and they had more sizes available. You can also reserve and pick up from a nearby store. A decent reduction for a decent looking pair of trainers.

The 16th version of the Asics Gel Kayano running trainer once again delivers an outstanding 'ride' for the moderate overpronator. Very smooth and efficient, the transition through the 3 phases of gait is enhanced by the latest Impact Guidance System cushioning.

To keep you comfortable when you're running the Asics Kayano 16, the Biomorphic Fit technology allows the upper of the trainer to move in harmony with the foot, giving more comfort while in motion. This fit means the women's running shoe material does not bunch, reducing the risk of blisters or irritation.

* High Abrasion Resistance Rubber outsole reduces excessive wear
* Biomorphic fit
* ComforDry Sockliner provides the optimum cushioning performance
* DuoMax different density midsole materials helps correct the degree and velocity of pronation
* Impact Guidance System midfoot and forefoot works to compliment your natural stride
* Solyte cushioning provides an exceptionally lightweight midsole with excellent bounce-back
* Forefoot GEL improves performance and minimises the risk of injury
* Rearfoot GEL provides cushioning in all directions and absorbs impact forces
* Stability running shoe

Ooh, I usually wear the Asics GT2140 - but I've worn these out and they're giving me blisters on the midsole. Would the Kayanos be suitable (If I can find them in the correct 8.5 size!)

The pronate issue really depends on how often your going to use the trainers i guess. if you're gonna wear these once a month for a jog around the park, its not a massive problem. If you're serious about running then you need to go get your gait analysed in a running shop on a treadmill.

Had to pay full whack for these at the Asics Store in April (but I got refunded the foot scan check and the treadmill check price to put towards the whopping £120). Rip off I know, think I saw them in S Direct for around £90 shortly afterwards, but I was in severe pain having taken up running in January and foolishly thought I could go from couch potato to running 24km each week (including 8K outside). Was an overpronator apparently and had suffered shin slints, runners knee and something else lower leg related as a result of stubborness.

Enough about me, the shoe is VERY comfortable. It is worth getting sized and the right pair from a shop that checks all that stuff out (asics store and others) if you are in/getting into your running though.

Hilarious! Initially I was trying to create a list. I didn't like the 4 point 5 plus comma to distinguish the sizing. But with hindsight I think there was deffo some autopilot sheeplike behaviour going on.

Your observation is toooooooooo funny! :D

Bargain! Wonder if they have size 14?

Boooo only go up to size 7 - maybe I could buy two and stick them together?

Not these are ladies trainers, and should not be worn by men because of foot structure
