Asics Kayano 16s on SALE @ Javari £63.66

Been hunting to buy a pair of Kayano's for last few months but refused to pay the £120 RRP or even the £85 approx 'sale' price.

Anyway, spotted another deal for the 2150s (thanks to fatsoat) and noted these black ones were on sale down to £73...added the £10 voucher discount and am now very happy!

do these do what no other shoe can do ?
#2
yes....and more!
#3
so if these only cost £8.50 landed in the UK anything over £25 represents a bit of a rip-off then....

Took a flyer on these (usually wear the GT21xx). I like to alternate between 2 different shoes when running as I think it helps me avoid injuries.

You could say that...but am sure you know how retail works....or don't you?
I know how much they cost as used to work for an equivalent running competitor

I think it works as follows.....
buy product for £8.50, retail at £25 & make a decent profit or
buy product for £8.50, think up some fancy marketing hype & a 'brand name, stick a 'designer' label on it, retail at £125 then offer on 'sale' at £75 so people think they're getting a bargain.
I know because I've sourced & sold (unbranded) products from the Far East myself.

Well done to you...as have I, and still work in this type of industry....but the point of this site, which you seem to have forgotten is to show deals and savings to consumers (who don't work in similar industries to us) that are looking for a particular product....whether you or I actually believe it's a fair fair price is another thing.....but seeing as I don't work in the trainer world any more, nor do I have contacts that can source me them at staff prices, I believe £63 for a pair of brilliant running trainers that I have been holding off buying till I got a good price is a good deal...hence why it was posted.
If your remarks are only due to my comment about how much things actually cost to ship and land then please note this is based on production runs which normally go into the thousands....as am sure you know!
The fancy marketing hype is part of everyday consumer life...I don't condone it, but if I can make a saving on something I want then am happy...surely you can appreciate why this site exists? It's not here for self glorification

A bargain to me! HOT! Thanks OP ;o)

BTW, you should have just ignored comments that are so irrelevant to HUKD! =)

I know nothing about the industry but I do know that £64 for a pair of basic trainers is not a 'deal', irrespective of how much cheaper it is than the RRP.

Weenie Beenie
...basic trainers.

? ? ?
£64 for a pair of fashion trainers would not be a deal (IMHO) but these are not that. I guess you're not a runner.

Weenie Beenie is probably a mate/other account of indianajon!
#12
Good deal in my opinion!
#13
I have a few pairs of these, the most comfortable running trainers i have had. Luckily for me I used to work for someone that got these for me just above cost price, great value trainers.

Can't believe some peckerwoods would vote this cold...some very strange/sad people out there

Arrived today - decided to take them out for 5.5 mile run but stayed out for 10 miles.

The balls of my feet got quite warm but other than than they felt very comfortable.
Ran a PB for this year ! Strangely my Garmin Foodpod recorded the distance as longer than usual by around 9% - not sure if this is down to the offset lacing on the shoes (resulting in the footpod lying at an unusual angle) or perhaps the Footpod battery needs replacing !

Tis very strange of you to resurrect a 3 year old thread with a post on something unrelated....oO
