Asics Mens GT2120 running trainers. Been using asics for years and they've all been top notch running trainers. These are great for long distance running - good timing for me as I need a new pair!

#5
These are very good trainers but i relly want a pair of Kinsei 2 , as the Kinsei 1's were amazing and I am wearing through the sole!! Thanks

This is a cracking deal for an over pronator shoe from Asics. You would normally looking to pay nearer to £50 - £60 for a shoe in this category. Great spot!!
#7
Cracking par of runners, had mine since january and done a half marathon in them the start of this month and they feel very comftable.

Got mine from the same site as the shop only had small sizes and I needed a 9 but never knew they were on Quidco

I'm looking for a pair of decent running shoes, will these do for someone with normal feet or are they designed specifically for people who overpronate?

I won't be doing anything long distance - 30mins to 1hr tops, but on a regular basis.

I have a pair and have 'normal feet' and don't overpronate, they are a great shoe, very comfortable. So yes Sam_41, I think they will be fine for you.

Thanks, have just ordered a pair, I've heard Asics make good running shoes and these do look good. Glad they have 11's in stock as well because it can be a bit of a nightmare buying normally, great deal especially considering you'd normally be looking £60+ in the shops.

Heat added.

TOTALLY GUTTED!

Amazing price but I need 13's for my big feet! anyone know where I could get 13's for a similar price?
#17
I bought two pairs a couple of weeks ago from sports direct, delivery took about two days. They are excellent for the price - check your running style at a proper running shop though as these are for over-pronaters only - big arch support.

Maybe try their high street store, sports world or soccer sports cant remember which one it is but might be able to get them in their as they had sizes 11 plus in my local store

Think I will be sticking to Asics as they are so comftable and give good support to my feet, currently running about 15 miles a week in theses trainers and cannot fault them

bought from that site and used code FREEAST :)

Hey does any1 know where I can get Asics Gel Kinsei 1 or 2 trainers from for a cost effictive price. These are quality running trainers. But a little over priced in excess of 100GBP.

Many Thanks
#21
there are some on the site for £26.50 if you underpronate, half price. product code 121049. not sure if its a good deal, but gives an option for underpronation.

Look at your trainers, if there is wear on the outside, you underpronate, on the inside, overpronate, ie a bit flat footed.

;) ordered a pair from field n trek with free delivery many thanks

i've run in gel cumulus,2110,1100... 2120 should be fine even if you've a neutral running gait (like myself) Asics make some great trainers

Quality trainer at a quality price. If I'd not just picked up a pair of Kayano 13's for £50 I'd be right in there.

White trainers for wearing to the pub?
They should be OK just remember to wear them with a Burberry cap and lots of gold chains/sovereign rings....

Can you only go running in white trainers then
#29
I've got some Asics Cumulus running shoes which are the best running shoes that I've ever owned. I notice that they're down from £100 to £50 on the site, might order a spare pair at that price. Great deal, heat added.

That said running shoes are a very individual thing. You should really get along to a sportshop with a treadmill and a video camera to work out what type of shoes that you need as some offer more support than others depending on your running style. Once you know that, get them ordered online!!!

Not at all - there are lots of other sports that they can be worn for.

Ignore my previous post I think I misinterpretted your question. The correct answer should be:

Not at all - you can go running in any colour trainers.

Great shoe at a great price. Seen them at £40 in a few places and you'll always find 12s and 13s on eBay.

Checkout the 11-series too on that site above and eBay/Google the codes. Both shoes are very wide (with the 11-series slightly wider IME) so many people who need 13 may be OK with a 12.

Asics are an amazingly good shoe. Changed the way I walk.

Some pics of the silver 2110:

only 9's avaliable why dont they dont they have any for size 12 feet
#34
Great deal. I have two pairs of these having been to a specialised store! Amazing price.
#35
Apart from a pair of offroad Sauconys, these were my first pair of proper 'running' trainers I purchased nearly a year ago when they first came out. To me they feel as comfortable as wearing a pair of slippers! :) Proper light on your feet and support really well. The guy at the shop tried selling them to me for £85. Went online and got them for around £60. Have seen the trainers go for similar prices now and I have to say its an absolute bargain.
#36
I have to say i have the previous pair to these (i think) the 2110's and there amazing, make so much of a difference when your running. Much better than anything else i have run in. Im very tempted to buy these just to keep for when mine are on there last legs.
#37
I had the full works with people videoing my feet, running up and down the high street (feeling a bit stupid) and these where the 'money no object' best shoe for me.

Very pleased to be able to buy a second pair cheap!

Anyone know where I can find a free delivery code for field and trek?
#38
This is the thread I signed up for.

A while ago I bought some running shoes which were for people who overpronate. I don't and they pretty much immediately started causing discomfort.

Take your chances if you will but don't continue running if they cause discomfort, these shoes are not for the average person.

Thanks for this. I think I do a little and need new running shoes so I've ordered them and will try them out.

Try checking their stores (Sports World) - I just bought a pair of Asics Nimbus VII (the most cushioned shoe for larger sized runners), UK Size 13 for £15 in their Livingston branch.

Also in their end of line section, there were a few other pairs of large Asics (11, 12 & 13) in a couple of shoes styles (GT2120, Nimbus VIII, Kayano, etc) from £25 to £35 - stock obviously limited. Plenty of large Reebok and Nike too - if thats what you like.
