This motherboard supports remote wake with the onboard Intel® LAN, so you can connect with your PC from anywhere in the world. You will be able to power your PC on or turn it off, monitor and take control of it remotely with another smartphone, tablet or computer.
All the capacitors on this board are built with 100% all solid capacitors. With these solid caps, ASRock motherboards are allowed to perform more stably and ensure longer lifetime.
By adopting digital pulse-width modulation (PWM), the ASRock motherboard can provide CPU Vcore voltage more efficiently and smoothly. Compared to analog PWM, digital PWM can optimize the CPU power solution and provide a proper and stable Vcore for the processor
For users that don’t have an optical disk drive to install the drivers from our support CD, Easy Driver Installer is a handy tool in the UEFI that installs the LAN driver to your system via an USB storage device, then downloads and installs the other required drivers automatically.

Does this support Devils Canyon?

would not recommend buying asrock, or z87 now that z97 is out, you can get a decent z97 for around £65

Where? I'd prefer z97 obviously.

Just I thought for the price will be a good bargain.Ordered 1 last night to start to build my own pc.any insight or experience with this motherboard will be great..

I've made some excellent builds with Asrock boards, they overclock pretty good and are usually packed with some really cool features ..

Have some heat!

I can't answer your question specifically, but it seems that Intel's devil's canyon isn't worth the money.

My ASRock Pro3 P67 has been going strong for 3 years now, no problems.

It's not worth upgrading from original haswell or ivy bridge but they are without doubt the CPUs you should be buying if you're building a new system or upgrading from an older CPU. To say they're bit worth the money is completely missing the point.

As I am still using a C2D that's six years old, I'm planning an upgrade now. So, Devils Canyon is the way I'll go.

@lumpycustard - looks like it supports DevilsCanyon - although you may need a BIOS update:

@GDB2222 - you might find a better £/performance with the previous Intel CPUs...

Isn't worth the money if you already have haswell 4770k. If upgrading to haswell from something earlier or less more worth it.

This motherboard supports remote wake with the onboard Intel® LAN

I'm guessing this was copy pasted as I can recall this particular feature being (almost) universally implemented for years. Is this correct or is this mobo special?

Cheaper motherboards tend to have a Realtek LAN chipset. Intel LAN at this price point is a feature of sorts.

You can buy Asrock Z97 pro3 and Z97 pro4 for similar price. Also MSI Z97 PC Mate is a cheap board.

I would not buy Z87 + the new devils canyon as a combo. You might have problems to flash the bios to support the CPU. If you already have Z87 + Haswell you can flash the bios and then upgrade the CPU.
