Yes and I think that Battenburg is a better cake than this is as well.

What is your point? They're two different games, dealing in different genres too!

£36.96 at tesco entertainment, 500 clubcard points and £2.96 quidco is better = £29, all if your one for deals 500 points + £15 = £14.00

Reviews are good for this - seems they rectified the flaws of the first. However the first had more hype and still came down to £20 before christmas 2007 so I'm holding out.

It's a good deal, but I too am holding out for a post-release price around the £20-25 mark.

Hot best price out there at moment

left for dead 2 uses the last gen outdated source engine.......big mistake if u buy that over AC2.

its so bad even a noob can no-scope with a sniper and the graphics are just lame.........reminds me of counter strike days.

zombie killing is only fun as a side game, when a game is purely based on it, it becomes boring......very quickly, plus its only been a year since the last L4D.

if you want to reccomend a ground breaking game thats more fun then AC2 then its got to be uncharted 2.

the first one was actually a good game considering it was released in november 2007 and not many good AAA titles were being released back then.

plus its an open world game and they had less game developing experience then they have now.

AC2 added lots of things like currency, shops, swimming, snatching enemies weapons which is bound to make it more fun.

aparently its got online similar to playstation home as well, create home invite friends ect.

L4D2 is, unfortunately, almost identical to the first game, only with different types of enemies and the added novelty of being able to **** said enemies with a guitar or frying pan.

Don't get me wrong, I actually loved the first L4D, but I really don't think that this sequel was needed and it doesn't appear as if I am alone in that opinion.

I loved the first AC, it was one of the very few releases of that era which I actually took the time to finish, it was repeatative obviously and the dialogue got annoying after a while, however for an open world game at that time it was remarkable in many ways, they just made the mistake of pushing it a bit too hard from a marketing perspective and thus it couldn't live up to the hype with Ubisoft themselves created.

Good point to make  I loved the 1st one. i should be getting AC2 on friday in the post. placed my order months back for just uder £25.

I don't think that because it was an early game excuses it's flaws. The game was great to look at and fun for about an hour but the lack of variety was simply inexcuseable. It couldn't have taken them much longer to put a few more things to do in, rather than eavesdrop, save civilian, pickpocket, climb large tower over and over again. As for being an open world game - look at Oblivion.

I'm gonna wait till the reviews are out for this one.

.

I knew somebody was going to bring that comparison up. Fair play though, Oblivion was quite an accomplishment and I would have played it a lot more if those giant rat things didn't scare the bejesus out of me.

Hot, thanks for posting it.

The first one got excellent reviews but was horrid :-D Parts were so cool but the story and the repetition drove me mad. That said, if Toonarmani tells us what the code they used for 15% off is, (it's not MEN15) I'll probably get it to try it out then sell at a profit :P

Found L4D2 to be very similar to the first outing to be honest, not much improvement. Great if you loved the first I guess. Never got round to playing Assassins Creed 1, so can't comment on this one, but a good price anyway.
#29
Might as well get this out the way... The PS3 version is apparently inferior. Discuss.

Quite tempted to buy AC2, never got round to playing the first and the reviews seem favourable. Willing to hold out for a potential supermarket deal on Friday though.
#30
Nice price, tempting. Iv'e got both systems but i'll be getting the 360 version as it's bound to be that little bit better.

Any supermarket prices in yet?
#34
It's getting good reviews but then so did the first one if I recall. I thought that was utter *****. Really boring and repetitive. For this to be a good game the developers would have had to vastly improve the gameplay.
#35
Personally i use ign.com for my reviews & they reviewed the first one with 7.5 but have given the sequel 8.8 (9.2 US Rating). which puts it in my to buy list :)
