So get the game and get £20 worth of deals from it too! Or £5 for tesco itself. Great deal imho.

Don't know if they have changed their policy but I just ordered and got this message at the end:

Please note: Your card will not be charged until your order is dispatched

I hope they've changed their policy on pretending to get the items you ordered from their suppliers, but then writing to you a week before Christmas (9 weeks after ordering) to say that they cannot (as happened to me last year).

Or you could just buy "Assassin's Creed 2" from any other retailer for less.

Coolshop.co.uk are listing both the Xbox 360 & PS3 variants for £34.99.

The PC version can be pre-ordered for £22.99.

What products are covered in the "£20 on deals"?

Are there any restrictions on usage?

Similar to Games nusiness model. Had my game pre-ordered for a very long time, checked last week that my card details were correct. Yesterday received an email saying despatched, Games site says cancelled.

When I called up the first thing the girl said was, you only paid £37 for MW2... ah you used a voucher. My reply was yes but I ordered before you jacked the price up. Should refused to reactivate my order. I'm looking to make a complaint and will cancel all my pre-orders ( I usually order 2 -3 of each to gift as I like a bit of co-op).

They've lost my business for good.

To be fair, I think that is their electronic system, not the representative's viewpoint. I don't think they can re-activate orders as you have to confirm your card details.

The payment system has recently changed & I fell foul of it (too).

I had pre-ordering something & when they came to despatch the payment was declined. I tried again on the same credit card & then again on a different card. All three attempts failed.

It was only when I went back in & looked that I saw that they had tightened-up the security regarding credit card holder's address & despatch address. Both now have to be identical. Previously you could send to an address that wasn't registered with your card provider.

Hope that helps.

(PS. Parent Company GamePlay.co.uk lost my business late last year when they refused to sell me a PS3 console due to some credit card check failure. I went to GAME.co.uk instead & had no problem at all... same product... same value.... same card!)

The lack of adding "heat" to this deal may indicate a different meaning of "most" than you were intending.

its release day and still this is on offer, just did it. just hope tesco honour it.

Good deal seeing that it is a couple of quid more expensive than coolshop. but it is similar to amazon play et al. for £20 return in clubcard vouchers, this is an awesome deal.

in real terms how is £16.96 for assassin's creed 2. how is that not a hot deal. oops im forgeting 8% quidco as well so this game is in effect £34 -£20 clubcard points

£14 scorching (if tesco give me the points)

Can be bought instore for £37.70 plus 300 bonus clubcard points (374 points in total) for those who want it now.
