Assassins Creed 2 PS3/Xbox 360 £33.73 delivered *Pre Order* @ The hut + Quidco.

SupraGazSupraGaz

Using the £3 off £35 voucher code: HWalk
Original price £36.73.

360 link: http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/assassins-creed-2/10042543.html

I have done quite abit of searching and this seems the cheapest price anywhere.

I personally enjoyed the first even though some found it quite repetitive so this will be purcahsed for me.

Afew features, more in the main link:

"I will seek vengeance upon those who have betrayed my family, and uncover a conspiracy bigger than I could have imagined. I am Ezio Auditore di Firenze. I am an Assassin."

Assassins Creed® II is the follow-up to the title that became the fastest-selling new IP in video game history. The highly anticipated title features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance.

Assassins Creed II retains the core game play experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players.

Assassins Creed II is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florences most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

Cheers

Excellent! Looks like a good game too. First one was pretty good!

looks to be pretty much the same as the first one. I can see this being quite a poor seller and sub £20 quickly due to MW2 & uncharted2

I'd have to disagree...AC2 looks pretty awesome...plus it is a highly anticipated game, perhaps not as much as Uncharted 2 or MW2 but still...

its the same game engine with the same moves, just in a different era. the first game was all show but no content

cant see much excitement in the press either about the game

    it'll be cheap quickly imo

This one is very different to the first and it looks awesome, saying that I really liked the first one anyway.

Looks as good if not better than the first... Which was pretty high bar anyway if you ask me :)

The people giving bad reviews obviously didn't give the game a chance and gave up after the first hurdle.. Or better yet, didn't even play it and are basing their reviews on those just mentioned lol.
Opinions are my own... But fact in reality :P

Anyway... Whilst this is an excellent deal, it is inevitably pre-order prices. After 2-3 weeks post release the price should drop significantly... Unless its the best selling game of all time (*cough* CoD4 ++ *cough*) it will linger around £35+ for some time. Thankfully it isn't :)

    H+R added.

got the original but lost interest due to lack of trophies (I know I'm a trophy *****), good deal but I'll be waiting for this one to drop to sub £20 before purchasing

For those unsure, I'd say this is probably the best clip for AC2 at the minute:

I'm with you on this opinion.

I've noted before that it will have to be something exceptional to not repeat the over-hyped experience of the first outing.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze (a descendent of Altaïr Ibn la-Ahad, & both being), an ancestor of Desmond Miles strapped to the "Animus" in September 2012 from the first title, can at least get his feet wet without dying this time! In fact, the character of Ezio can now swim & murder people by just popping his head out from beneath the canal water (before popping off his intended target).

The "Assassin's Creed" story was intended to be a trilogy as well (ignoring the other titles in the franchise, "Altaïr's Chronicles", "Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines", & "Assassin's Creed: Discovery"). Only this week has it been mentioned that the story could go on beyond that (venturing into World War II).

I do think that the Collector's Limited Edition ("Black Edition" / "White Edition") releases are way over-priced too.

I would like to be pleasantly surprised by "Assassin's Creed II", though, & would like to play a "current gen" game with "Prince of Persia" roots that lives up to the enjoyment of the "previous gen" titles carrying the same name (I'm purposely discounting the most recent "Prince..." title).

It just needs to be a little less repetitive this time, with not as much bench-sitting, and haystack-falling from great height ignoring Newton's Laws of Motion.

    BFN,

I know TheHut are usually pants in delivering products, but what about pre orders? Will it be likely that I shall receive the game on release day?

The Hut are usually fantastic with pre-orders. I order all of my Blu Rays from there (as I get the additional 7.5% Morethank discount too) and have never had one turn up later than the release date (in fact I've had them over a week early before)

No problems to report from me. The Hut delivered batman AA before release date to me so I was more than happy. All orders if in stock have come next day or day after.

Played the game today at a games expo and it seemed pretty dam good, pre-ordeded from the hut as soon as I got back.

Game looks brilliant and looks too be a massive improvement on the original.
Definitely a buy in my opinion.
