Cex is used. Why not pay £3 more and get it brand new?
#2
you can get HAlo 3 new £19.99 and timeshift £14.99, Pro evo can be brought NEW cheaper also. Not a bad price for Creed though
#3
Well, they all looked pretty new so £3 pound in my pocket instead:)
#4
Asas creed is main deal, others are just what i saw and thought i'd share info

Not really a hot deal in my opinion as you can get it new for a little more. I'll wait until it's £15 new.

I purchased the darkness for 360 from CEX a little while ago. When I got home and checked the disc, it was scratched to bits. I'm talking flea's on ice!!!
(If flea's could ice skate and not jump!)

Also purchased various gadgets from them and have been seriously dissapointed with the condition/problems for items that had passed testing and were A-grade.

If you're buying a second hand game, why would you no check the condition of the disk?

Because I was in a hurry!

By the time I got served (lots of kids with stacks of games to trade), I was already running late for meeting the wife. I was waiting over 10 minutes and if I remember rightly, they had plenty of staff and only two serving.

Thinking back, I remember Game used to turn away scratched discs.

I'm not saying all CEX stores are bad, I've just had bad experiences with a few greater London stores and have now stopped using them.

stores are sporn of the devil ! But they paid decent ish prices for junk alot of the time.

I noticed last night they had dropped the price on aload of titles, PS3 games were 13quid cheaper than a week ago. (i.e. not retail price any more)

I have been lucky enough over the past few months and thanks to this site to pick up all of the aforementioned titles (except the PES08) all BRAND NEW SEALED & DELEVERED for the following prices:

Assassins Creed £26 (GAME)
Mass Effect £20 (Gamestation)
TimeShift £17.03 (The Hut)
Halo 3 £20 (Play.com)

So paying more for badly scratched used games does not seem to hot to me!

Try Shopto.com as they currently have bothe Halo 3 for £20 & Timeshift (PS3 & 360) £14.99 and this includes delivery!

Fair point but its still to expensive for a used game, for those who can wait I'd bet my hind teeth that AC will start to appear for around the £20 (BRAND NEW) in the usual places very very soon!

Good to make people aware but I'm sure CEX deals should be excluded due to being second hand? Whatever next, ebay Buy It Now deals?

cex can have decent offers: nintendo wifi connector for £20 (2nd hand) etc. thats through the net. instore is a nightmare. first time i went in it took so long to get served i felt like giving up and i'm usually patient. i then had to take the games back as apparantly none of the 2nd hand gba games come with instructions (!). i'm not paying almost retail for a game with no instructions.
the last time i went in i walked out after a few seconds as i couldn't stand having that loud music they play giving me a headache. i thought it was a game shop but apparantly its now a disco. at least at a disco you'd be drunk enough not to notice!
