The year is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean and have established their own lawless Republic where corruption, greediness and cruelty are commonplace.

Among these outlaws is a brash young captain named Edward Kenway. His fight for glory has earned him the respect of legends like Blackbeard, but also drawn him into the ancient war between Assassins and Templars, a war that may destroy everything the pirates have built.

Welcome to the Golden Age of Piracy.

Thanks! Finally picked this up - will now likely trade/sell in my ACIII to fund this purchase.

Was incredibly tempted to pick this up as a digital download since it had a permanent price cut to £19 but I tend to ensure my digital downloads have high replayability.

I bought the standard edition for £15 from here about 3 months back. Played it once, great game but then got sidetracked by Mario 3D world and never went back. Doh! Great price for this edition!

I'm really struggling with naval combat. Does anyone have any tips to help me take down a couple of brigs, or is it as tough as I'm making it out to be?

I just checked out with a copy and it went through fine. I'd try again if I were you.

Cheers OP, heat added. I've finally decided to buy it!

You need to upgrade your ship to make things much easier. Collecting maps to find hidden treasure also gives you elite plans to upgrade your ship to really powerful weapons. If you are struggling against brigs you really need to upgrade your base ship!!

I will have to do the same thing also! How much can AC3 be sold for unsealed?

For some reason I couldn't process a paypal purchase of this item as the confirm order button was simply greyed out, however manually entering my card details worked just fine :D

Cheeps OP :)

We'd get pittance on CEX (£2 trade) so may be better off trading here or flogging off on Gumtree/eBay.

1 sold listing on eBay yesterday for just over £5 (including £3 postage)
