Absolute bargain.

Aston Villa have made 1000 tickets available for the Bolton game (18th September at 3pm). These are the cheaper seats but still for £10 for a premier league game very good - saving of about £10 - £15 on normal prices. This for the last couple of seasons this game has been quite high scoring and is generally a good game! Bargain price.

This is Gerard Houlliers first home game in charge!

Refer to the sections and links within for the offer.

This is a premier league game!

good value that, a normal premier league game at Liverpool now is £40 +

Get your tickets in to see Gerard Houlliers super exciting football ! Na only winding you up, Gerard is a decent manager who will get some good results, but does have a tendancey to get his team playing some boring football at times. (Coming from a long suffering Red)

Back to the deal and this is definatly hot at £10 to see a Premier League game, its a bargain!

#He's French, he's fat, he's gonna get the sack, Houllier! Houllier!

Might as well be the first to sing this song before the end of the season ;)

Good deal on premier league tickets though.

hmmm, seems this is a bit of a PR move by Lerner to try and appease the fanbase a bit, who've rightly been annoyed at the way their club has started the season - all been a bit of a shambles, really.

oh and also: 6-0! (sorry, couldn't resist ;) )

if you're a villa fan without a season ticket then this is a good deal if you can get your mitts on one.

The 22nd August called, it would like its information back.
#7
Great price, shame I can't go
#8
^^ not really a PR exercise as we regularly do £10 tickets about 4 or 5 games a season especially against some of the smaller clubs and also if on TV.

The best bit of PR they could do is to appoint KM as assistant as it seems the majority would have liked to see him given a chance and this would see him getting some recognition.
#9
Excellent deal!
Unfortunately I bought mine a couple of weeks ago for £25!
Hopefully the game will be as good as against West Ham and Everton.
#10
Not really a bargain as such, as this is still twice the price tickets ought to be. In 1970 the price to watch a game was typically 5/- (25p) from an average working man's wage of £20. Extrapolating those figures to the typical weekly wage now of around £400 would give a ticket price of £5.

What geek put pro Manchester United comments in the tags?

Probably never even been to watch them!

Empty seats my lord - empty seats

Anyone who wants a better ticket (as these aren't the best) the upper Doug Ellis Block Q (the away fans section I believe) is 4 for £50. If there are 4 going I would suggest the extra £2.50 is a better option.

Aren't Villa Supposed to be a big club?

It's about giving something back to the fans. :)

Couple of other wins and a draw (that felt like a win 93 min Stern John equaliser) since then but granted a few defeats since these but this season can seeing us getting back to winning ways against you, certainly hope I don't have to witness another 5-1 humilitaion last time I went to your place.

Are you sure it's upper rather than lower?
I'm presuming Bolton must be bringing around 27 fans.

I respect when a club like Villa does this. It really is giving something back to the fans.

What I don't respect is when someone says the same thing when someone like Wigan does it.

"What a great club Wigan are...giving back to the fans" - WRONG!

You could literally walk a dog around the JJB, that's how empty and crap it is. If it wasn't for their uber cheap tickets the away fans would often outnumber the number of rugby heads in for day out at the soccer.

Good luck Gérard, a few very bitter comments about Rafa but still liked at Liverpool for the most part. Lets hope for Villa its early Liverpool form and not the mess you ended up in though.

Sorry, I was wrong it is the lower tier.

Regarding Houliier, although at first the appointment didn't exactly fill me with much excitement when I look at his record of late with Lyon (winning the title twice) he has left them as a team that regularly reach the latter stages of the ECL which for a French team is pretty rare. So hopefully we can push on from being a top 6 side, although this will be difficult to say the least.

Is the extra set of goals to capture those wildly off target shots or to make the game more interesting by doubling the chance of scoring?

At the time of posting I was expecting a barrage of abuse about that photo being posted, suprised no one replied with a 'if thats what its like at home games no wonder it is only £10' :)

So much of a shambles that we're 4th in the League (_;)

come on you whites!
#27
just realised Villa is in Birmingham.

If not £10 for normal fans, they often give tickets at greatly reduced prices to local schools. In terms of giving back to local community i don't think Villa do too bad at all considering our turnover. First premiership club to have charity on shirt supports this.

Congratulations! For your next lesson find out where Everton, Arsenal and Spurs are.

Home fans only but considering the saving you will make I'd consider doing it. As long as you can remember to keep your gob shut.
#36
Managed to get R6 for £10, appears only R7 left now when trying to book online.

aye, but it's 3 games in. plus you played west ham who look like a team already resigned to relegation (how depressed their fans must be!)

the shambles was more down to the way your manager walked out days before the season kicked off and your owner really dragged his feet in making his mind up on whether macdonald was worthy of the job, or if he was going to hire in.

that and getting beat 6-0 off a newly promoted side (shocked me even more and i'm a toon fan, couldnt believe how dreadful each and every one of your players was that day - they should have donated that weeks wages to charity after that showing!) - plus getting knocked out of the Europa after another pretty guitless performance didn't exactly give the impression of a club/team that was organised and in good spirits.

so aye, i'll stick by shambles for now ;)

sure you'll turn it round like, got too many good players still there and houllier's a good boss - even if he did invest in his fair share of donkeys at 'Pool.

Purchased 3 restricted view tickets in R7 for £9 each. My son wanted to be behind the goal so he could catch the ball.
I said to him that they way John Carew is playing at the moment, he has a better chance in the corner section.:)
