I've had the 2011 editions for about 3 years now, never had a single problem with them and they're so versatile that they can pretty much used for anything. While you can get better quality sounding headphones for the same price.. this is still a bargain for the A40 & Mixamp.

Unsure whether this would be worth it or whether the mixamp at £69.97 is a better deal and then use it with better headphones such as Sennheiser HD555s that I have.

I'd definitely just go with the Mixamp, I have a pair of A40's and the sound quality isn't great at all compared to other non-gaming headphones.

I'm thinking of just picking up the Mixamp and keeping my 2011 A40's, I also have a set of Turtle Beach & about 5 sets of earbud headphones so I can't really see me needing another set. The Mixamp however.. I plan to use the 2011 Mixamp on the older consoles and the 2013 on the PS4 to save having to keep swapping them over depending on what console is being used.
