I have been looking for one of these star projectors for a while but knowing what Im like with gadgets I didn't want to be spending over the £100 mark on some of the star projectors on sale. I found this one, and after searching a few places (mainly via Google!) I found that Safield where the cheapest. If you go through quidco you get 10% off too :)

Info from website:

These days, light pollution in our towns and cities means that far too many of us miss out on the beauty of seeing the stars twinkling in the night sky. Although we unfortunately cant do much about this, there is one answer for anyone who wants to bring some starlight back into their life the AstroStar.

Project a map of the heavens onto your ceiling and walls with this new starlight projector. Featuring a rotating base with compass-point alignments, its possible to set up your AstroStar by aligning it according to your location and the time of the year so that it can project a map of the clear nights sky all around you. Its also fully adjustable so that you can change it to accurately track the movement of the heavens as the year progresses.

The AstroStar is ideal for astronomy or astrology fans, romantics, kids whod appreciate a nightlight with a difference or anyone who wants to bring some starlight into their home.

my godson has one of these, he has cerebal palsy and it is good stimulation.

I'm going to use it to chill out to while listening to music. I know that may not be your thing but I enjoy it and I thought some others may do too, hence I put it on here :-D

Hey, don't knock it . It's like cosmic dude. Try to like compress that negativity and like project it to another astral plane , man. or something

this is cool, but since it blasts the stars in all directions, doesnt that mean it'll always be blasting light in your direction too.

What does it use as a light source?

Anyone use this site before? Never heard of it before so a bit cautious.

Just spotted a couple of items on this site that I fancied buying...
did anyone get the light from them?
Just wondered if they were a good site to buy from?
