Hmmm.... "not much info on website " is a bit of an understatement. A potentially good deal hampered by lack of basic product information. Asus build quality and bluetooth are encouraging clues that the laptop on offer is both well screwed together and well specified. Basic dual core cpu, nothing to get too excited about. If you can use the freebies, are in the market for a basic multimedia laptop and are prepared to take a bit of a punt on what turns up at your front door, then it is probably a good deal for £299. Can anyone confirm what model this is? If you're after a bigger screen size, the 17.3" screen Asus deal with the core i3 cpu at £399, is the best of the two offers IMHO. Bear in mind though that with the imminent vat increase etc, alternative offers are likely to be coming thick and fast this week. Nevertheless, have some heat.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-g550-15-6-laptop-pentium-dua/835273

the better of the the two please guys?

I need the HDMI port,am i right in thinking that as the asus is "HD ready" then it must have a HDMI port(forgive my lack of comp knowledge please!)

OK, I have ordered, with a view to returning if not suitable. I joined Next and was a bit shocked that they didn't ask for payment details when I was placing the order and therefore I missed putting in the free delivery code. Just beware when registering, get the code in early somewhere.

Hi
I ordered this yesterday, spec from next is asus 15.6" screen, intel t4400, windows 7, 320gb, 3gb ram, HD ready, Webcam, Wi-fi, laptop bag & mouse - next should at least give the model number though and then at least you can search the web!

If you hover over the little icons on the next page, it tells you the above info.

Will it have a HDMI connection?

Looking at similar spec Asus's (or is it Asuses), I'd bet money that it has. But then again, it wouldn't be my money.

Says sold out.
#19
oh dear was looking at this with the intention to order however got caught up in looking for "better" deal else where and now its sold out! Will it be back in stock?

What do you mean keep trying, it says sold out, do you mean hopefully someone will cancel their order and one will become available?
#24
Keep trying, I had 2 browsers open and kept adding it to my bag and removing it if it said sold out and after about 10 times, it showed as 4 weeks delivery. I've ordered this one and the £399 one earlier, will try to cancel the £399 I think.
#25
i think this is the same laptop. for the spec this is a very good price
