The only thing to stop me ordering this on Wednesday was the fact it is covered in orange detail.

if only it had a thunderbolt 3 type c port... I really want that gpu future proofing. does anyone know a nice slim 6700hq with one? I don't care too much about the internal GPU, as I plan to go with an egpu

If slimness is the order of the day then its perhaps the Razer Blade you are looking for although personally I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole.

At this price point I'd go for the 1060 version for only a couple hundred more. A lot more gpu performance.

What's wrong with the Razer Blade?
Looks like the best gaming notebook on the market.

...but at a couple of hundred pounds more that would mean the GTX 970m version be cheaper at this price point.

It's so confusing.

So you mean at a completely different price point then?

Well you're getting severely short changed in terms of gpu performance.
It costs an extra 20% but you get 80% more gpu horsepower.

Oh and you're missing out on Gysnc too.
Then again it is your money, all I can do is provide my 2 cents.

Yeah, would have been nicer with something more subtle! I really dislike these machines that look like they are aimed at 13-year old boys. I forked out for a Gigabyte Aero 14 sometime ago as it looks respectable for work etc while ticking all my gaming-on-the-move needs.
