Awful spec. Not worth the money for me.

Way better than those awful windows CE machines being banded about for more money atm. A decent netbook for under a ton and it's voted cold? Sheesh!

For the price yes way better then Crap Windows CE based crap thats being marketed from 99 to 160 £ !!!! yes as that much i ve looked everywhere on the net as some one asked me about the cheapest Netbook as she almost bought a 99 £ one but when she got to the shop was out of stock. Trying to find an XP model for this price is impossiable unless u get a used unit on ebay

For goodness sake if you going to pull someone up about their grammar and spelling you would have thought you would make sure you actually check your own. Numpty

I'm using one of these right now. I've had it for nearly two years and it's coped with everything I've thrown at it. Yes the screen is a little on the small side but it the whole unit is so small and light that you can throw it into a satchel bag and barely notice it's there. Battery life with wifi on is a quite reasonable 2.5 to 3 hours.

This is ideal for what it was made for - i.e. Web use, but it handles office tasks well enough too. Just don't expect to write a book on the small keyboard !

Matey thats a good price.
If you cant a computer for just general internet browsing (NETBOOK) then this will do the job. I had one of these when they came out as this was one of the first netbooks. It ran Windows XP ok. Obviously if you know a bit about IT and software adjustment you can tweek it to run faster.
Good find
#17
Might stick xp on it, thanks.

Sold out already, expired

I'm finding more and more posts on this site are just to have a go at what someone else has said or posted, and not about the deal. It makes them feel big and clever to have a go at someone for no good reason and will most likely stop people from making contributions to sites like this in fear that they will just get slagged off.

Old netbook. Not that good. I had one for a while and the small screen really is a pain, especially as you have to scroll left and right to read webpages. I suppose it is ok for occasional use and I'd be tempted just for that but I think I'll wait until I can pick one up really cheap on ebay or a better spec becomes available for this sort of price, rather than laptop price.

We use an Asus eepc 701 (upgraded for travelling, (runs on xp) so in the right context it's fine!
I'd consider getting another for low energy use monitoring overall house consumption or maybe for weather station data etc.
In Canada this has been a lifesaver fitting in my rucksack compared to heaving around a massive vaio all the time.
Don't dismiss it just because it doesn't suit your applications.
