Don't forget that Egg card gives 2.5% reduction on pre-vat price and quidco gives a further 3% off, which could bring it down to around £165.

That's the 'Surf' version, which doesn't have the webcam, I believe. The webcam-laden version is more buxx at expansys.

2.8 Hours Battery life, yeah right i wish

Battery life with screen on 30% brightness, wifi on, is around 1 hour and 10 mins

You might get 1 hour 30 with screen on lowest and wifi off

This is with windows XP installed tho, but i got around the same when it had the standard linux xandros installed.

Great little device this, if anyone gets one, put windows xp on straight away, I don't like linux,

Great for taking on your holiday with you, I use mine for, backup of camera photos to portable hard drive, movies, music, internet, Skype VOIP, SNES emulator, you name it.

When you think about a portable dvd player size and what this can do, you'll be pleased.:)

Hi Guys,

Good find, if I havn't made a mistake, there about £5 cheaper delivered here, white one slightly cheaper still.

http://www.morecomputers.com/TechDesc.asp?pn=EEPC4G%2DBK026

I'm looking at the 901 myself and this seems to be the cheapest place online at the moment at £277ish delivered. I keep hovering over the buy button.. was going to start a thread about it, but these things tend to get slated by peeps who don't get the whole 'netbook' thing.

Anyway, hope this helps someone, every little helps!

I think you've may have a duff unit there, my 4G lasts around two hours although there's no chance of it making it to three.
