did you end up finding any good Intel I7 950 cpu + motherboard deals then? thats what I'm looking for too
U r in no real need for a i7 so why not save your money and stick with the 1090T. Its a bargain
Not a bad deal, especially as the cpu alone is approx £200 at the moment.... just know personally that the mobo wouldn't cut it for me as it has only one x16 pci-e slot, so would be very limited in terms of upgrading at a later date.
I've been looking at an M4A89 mobo that costs £105 on it's own, which is a lot I know, but in terms of expansion at a later date is great (for me anyway)

2* pci-e x16
1* pci-e x4
1* pci-e x1

already have the x4 slot set aside for a pci-e SSD and the x16 slot for a 6870 GPU, with room to crossfire another one at a later date (when they come down in price a bit) :)

If you're just after a cheap-ish system that'll be fine for a good few years or more with just a graphics card update once in a while then the dabs deal is great... I look more for a great mobo that has the possibility of expansion in the future, after all the cpu in this should be good to go for at least 5 years or more without the need of upgrade, wouldn't skimp on the mobo.
I think i'm going to go for this deal. ATM i have intel q6600 processor, 4gb ddr2 ram, Geforce gtx 275 nvidia and a ocz 780watt PSU. So just by upgrading to this deal i will probably see a massive improvement and will save some money by not getting the I7 cpu.

@paddy. stone Yeh i have thought about getting a different motherboard but i think this one will be enough for me as i will probably just upgrade from my Geforce GTX 275 to a Gtx 480 next year and probably wont upgrade for another 4+ years.
Fair enough, everyone's needs are different... If I thought I could do with just normal sata HDD and one graphics card then I would defo go for this deal.. voted hot by the way even if it's not the deal for me it's still a great deal overall :)
The most cost effective way of getting a massive general-usage performance boost for a Q6600+4GB ddr2+gtx275 setup would be to put an SSD in it as the boot drive ^_^

Won't help in games..... but then there are very few games that can strain an OC'ed Q6600+gtx275.

Until we see the next gen. of consoles, I don't think we're going to see very many titles stretch the current (or even previous!) generation of uber-powerful GPUs - unless ofcourse, they just get lazy & make games progressively less efficient.
