Why anyone would spend this much on an atom chipset (dualcore ion or not) is beyon me.

Doesnt even have wifi.

Compact form factor plus very low power consumption that's why, the price is nothing special, voted cold.

Its not a bad price for what it is but unless you've already got a lot of the parts needed to build this in to a PC you'd be better of buying a ready built one - like this one from eBuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/172706 .

I personally wouldn't buy one, but the MicroATX element would attract people, this will suit a very small HTPC setup.

Most motherboards don't include WIFI as standard, Atom mobos have MiniPCI card slots to add the Wireless card of your choice.

I agree, you'll struggle to make one more compact than this, and it's a good price too!

I recon i could get ram, wifi a psu and a case for under 100 quid.

You can also connect a 3.5" HDD up inside one of these cases rather than being stuck with the one inside the revo.
I think good price for what it is.

To use as power-lite under the TV HTPC's. Thats where the ION part really comes into play and the lack of wireless isn't a problem, since you're much better off using powerline or wired networking for an HTPC anyway.
