Not voted either way, but I've also used OCUK before without issue...

I too have used OCUK without any issue, though i have never had to return anything. I have heard lot's of people complaining about them on forums though... There was also some talk about their Owner having dubious morals..

Scan are great though. I have been using them for years and never had a bad experience.

This card is ancient and underpowered by todays standards. Better off paying a couple of quid more for a Radeon 4850

Agree with the two posts above, I think I'm right in saying you're better off getting a 4850 for a few pounds more (e.g. from £73.59 at Novatech (1GB version))

The 3870X2 is pretty similar to a single 4850 but the 3850X2 probably lags behind a fair bit in terms of frame rates.

Bought myself a nice PC from them - no complaints!

Didn't the old MD (who used to make highly contentious posts on OCUK forums) leave a long time ago?

One bad egg does not mean you need to throw away the box. I honestly think that none of the E-tailers have ever had that good a returns service. I have had problems in the past with Scan, Ebuyer, OCUK and pretty much anyone else we have spent a few thousand with. I have also had exceptional customer service on a few occasions from Ebuyer and OCUK, but that isn't the norm.

My advice is to buy from wherever is cheapest for what you want (including all postage). Stick to the companies you see regularly / have heard off to avoid scams or even worse service.

My list of companies I use are:

Ebuyer, Scan, OCUK, Novatech, Aria, Dabs, Microdirect, Savastore and Tekheads. Mainly the first three as my free postage tends to balance out any minor price differences

I would imagine this card is similar performance to a 4770 / 4830. The difference will be using almost twice as much power and a number of games not utilizing the 2nd GPU (hence much worse performance). At this end of the market and the price differnces involved you would be much better with the more modern options for a few quid more.
