All you're doing is paying for a name. The same sort of thing can be had for less than £5.

poundland ones are 2.1 usually

4.0 will be faster and longer distance? might avoid lip sync problems on 2.1

my son's lego wedo needs low energy technology. i have been looking at some of the cheap ones on amazon etc but seems some don't come with paid driver and you have to get a pirated one? but that be windows 7 and windows 10 has proper driver built in?

I bought mine (a no-name) from ebay and it's BT4.0 with all the fancy 3la that the ASUS one has, and works fine on Windows 7 and up. Windows found the drivers by itself. Hence my first comment.
