I've not voted either way as I haven't a clue if this is a hot deal for this item, however according to the spec it weighs 5kg, is this right?? That seems heavy for a netbook!

whilst it isn't a note/net book at all but a standalone pc essentially apart from a standard size screen it shouldn't cost any more than the equivalent notebook so cold just because asus see a gap and are attempting to profiteer from it

Well the equivelent netbook would be something like gigabyte's M912V tablet which is expected to be about £500.

its main functionality is that it is a 'touchscreen' - so unless you need this touchscreen use there is no need to buy it.
The weight 4.3kg ?? I am puzzled as this should not be more than 3kg unless it has some lead parts in it :)

the point i was making was a combined intel atom cpu, 1gb drr2, etc etc incl a tft screen in same case..
the touchscreen feature in this is probably never going to be used after initial novelty factor so why is it included? to boost the price is all.

You re absolutely right - Dell is also very good at that...lowering prices and discreetly lowering specs.
