Not sure about the price, but this is one of the best Netbooks. Well worth it. Hot.

thanks for the heads up. it does look a pretty decent spec, wasn't really willing to go the extra 40-50 sheets for an NC-10 just because it looks snazzy

I've had a ASUS EEEPC 901 for a while now and I love it. My brother has the Acer netbook and it's just nasty in comparison.

seems a bit daft putting the price before the item in the title?

The title was quite long ;) lol.

I'll swap it around now to see how it looks

Having owned both an Asus and an Acer I couldnt disagree more. Personaly think my Aspire One is one of the best purchases I've ever made. Still each to their own.

hmm having looked at the specs for both, theres really not much between the 2.

as midiman says, each to their own.

i'm leaning toward this one due to the longer battery life, as i can't have it charging in the bedroom. any kind of charger interferes with the baby monitor.

Battery life is everything (well, almost)!

Note that the slightly tweaked 1000HE model is now available at around £300 (the same price as this used to be) - notable changes are an improved 'chiclet' style keyboard and an even bigger battery life.

I already have a 1000H, but if I was buying now, I'd definitely get the 1000HE for the extra battery (though having compared them, the 1000HE battery fits the 1000H, so just need to find one at a sensible price).

Compared to the Acer Aspire One range I'd get one of these every time - the AA1 design doesn't look so strong, and the 3-cell battery is a big weakness in my view.

HTH

This is a hot deal - the newer 1000HE can be had for £287.99 in white here ...

https://www.simplyasus.com/White_ASUS_Eee_Pc_1000HE_609951.html

The extra £42 could buy you a second 3rd party 6 cell battery for the 1000H - though I personally do not trust these 3rd party batteries - an org ASUS 1000H 6 cell battery is £79 in comparison.

Anyways - getting a 1000H for £245 is quite a deal - note that it comes with a 2 year warranty aswell - stick that Acer !!!!!

Whats with lets **** off acer brigade. Yes there not perfect but theres alot very happy Acer Aspire one users out there. We cant all be wrong........ can we?;-)

I am personaly not a fan of the eee's I've tried but I have certainly not used them all so am not an expert. There are a lot of happy asus eee owners out there so respect to them and each to their own

Interestingly these were just listed on Amazon Marketplace at a crazy price as I looked. Ordered myself the white version for 51 pence and a whopping £4.50 for postage. Will my order be cancelled? Will I receive a picture of a netbook? :whistling: :-D

We write to advise you that all orders placed with us on the Friday 10th July have had to be cancelled.

This was due to a corrupt file causing incorrect prices being advertised on Amazon.

Please accept our apologies for any disappointment and inconvenience this may have caused.
