anyone know what this netbooks like?
its got the newer N450 atoom processor, win 7, but the hd is only 160gb but expected at this price.

Just wondering why its only 18 degrees cos it seems a good price to me.

It's a good netbook, don't pay any attention to the heat, that's arbitrary. The only thing I would say is that Win 7 Starter is awful and you can get these at Argos clearance for about £150 from time to time. I would never buy a Win 7 netbook again. Go for Win XP instead.

Epic deal, looks similar to the 1001HA that I picked up from PC World for a while back but with a slightly faster and more efficient processor

I dont know about Win 7 starter but I am running windows 7 ultimate on my Asus EEEPC 901(2gb RAM) and it runs like a miracle. Faster and much more reliable than the xp.

So now I'm confused. Which would be the better buy, this or the Toshiba NB300 at Argos? I am currently spending a lot of time commuting between Germany and the UK as well as within Germany (4-5 hour journeys usually) and my laptop is dying. Cheapest option would obviously to go with the msi from argos clearance, but the added battery life on these makes them tempting for travel... I need something light to carry that I can work on (run adobe acrobat professional, office and ideally matlab) - any suggestions?

I'm typing this on a 1005p Eeepc, that deal is very good, except it only comes with a 3cell battery rather than the usual 6cell (up to 12hours). 3 cell would be a real pain if you want to use it for a long time away from mains.
