Seemingly crafted by nature itself, the Eee PC Seashell draws its inspiration from seashells. It's so light and compact you can take it anywhere, and, with sleek curves and smooth lines hugging its lustrous shell, the Eee PC Seashell will easily charm passers-by wherever it goes.

The hard drive contains a massive 160 GB of built-in storage - providing instant access to your favourite files. With the exclusive ASUS Super Hybrid Engine's increased power efficiency, the Eee PC can deliver an impressively long battery lifespan - eliminating worries about power while on-the-go and easily keeps users connected for full day, unplugged computing.

The Eee PC 1001P's LED-backlit screen is ultra-thin and ultra-bright, but still energy efficient. The 10 inch display makes working with documents and watching videos a pleasurable experience, and its 1024 x 600 resolution means that you can view most web pages without having to scroll from left to right.

The Eee PC Seashell is a highly portable companion that users can carry about. Boasting a thin and light profile, the svelte and lightweight Eee PC Seashell is a joy to behold and its compact dimensions make it the perfect runabout internet device anywhere.

The Eee PC Seashell is built to be your perfect travel companion. With support for 802.11b/g, you can enjoy fast surfing speeds. This allows you to enjoy quick downloading and streaming of multimedia files, and with a full range of applications, help enhance your communications and computing experience.
I got the 6 cell 1001ha from PC world for this price a while back.

Would still say this is a good deal though if battery life isn't too important to you.
I could have sworn this was on play a couple of weeks ago at £209.99 for the 6 cell battery. I was really close to buying it, then went on last night and noticed it was now a 3 cell.

Oh well. Snooze, you lose I guess :)
How different is this to the Msi Wind 130?

Also can a 3 cell really last up to 5 hours as in the specs?
Just got an asus 901 seems good, not had chance to play with it properly yet though.
Possibly using their hybrid engine. The Wind U130 has something similar which is a super power efficient mode. The only way I can get 3 hours+ No Wifi+ using the 3 cell battery.

Generally assume 1 cell of battery, just under 1 hour usage time. So 3 cell, most likely 2.5 hours on normal usage. 6 cell 4-5 - 5 hours.
3 cell battery and old slower Wifi only. This is not so hot.
I have the older 1000HG.
Dunno how many cells but it lasts up to almost 5 hours when surfing.
The only thing that lets it down is the crappy Orange internet speed.
Back to £209.99 now; Expired.

Just checked - £199 all inc ?
3 cell battery and old slower Wifi only. This is not so hot.

Not slower wi-fi really unless you're a marketing *person who sells "services"*.
Available for £199.99 again... unexpired :)
