I sure that this model can probably be Hackintoshed, but the Dell Mini 10v is the one to go for apparently. There are loads on the Dell Outlet site (listed as Dell 1011) for £174 including the vat.

The atom n450 is not supported in hackintosh. I was tempted to buy the one from Dell outlet but I need 6 cell battery. :(

You might want to consider the Compaq Mini 110c Netbook - there's a lot of work on the go for running Mac OS X on it, with proven solutions in place along with expanding work for supporting Snow Leopard.

Compaq Mini 110c-1120sa Netbook £199 at eBuyer - HotUKDeals Forum
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/599482/compaq-mini-110c-1120sa-netbook-199?t=599482

The aforementioned deal does come with a six cell battery and bluetooth - only slight niggle is the screen resolution but I think it's definitely 1024x600.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

Hard to beat the Compaq at £179 in CPW, or £199 at ebuyer if you want 6 cell and Bluetooth. Both come with XP. Excellent keyboard and screen too.

The 1008HA Seashell with the older Atom N270 processor deal for £199.99 delivered is still running...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/590762/asus-eee-pc-1008ha-seashell-netbook

Other differences include: 1008 has Wifi N and a 1.3Mp webcam but only XP.

Only gotcha with this model is that the battery is non-removable and that you have to literally disassemble it to upgrade the RAM, the hard disk and the wireless card.

At least with the 1005x series the battery is easily removable and there's a RAM upgrade access panel on the bottom of the netbook's chassis.

I suppose at the end of the day it's down to individual needs & tastes but also what can you realistically afford to spend.

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

That's a good catch with the ease of access and upgrading for RAM and battery on the 1005. I think that plus Win7 and N450 makes it worth the extra £50

Plus longer battery life, way better than the equivalent and more expensive comparable 1005ha model

I'm almost bursting at the seams trying not to buy this!! I noticed for the same price at laptopdeals although I didn't check delivery there. I know that if I buy it I'll regret not waiting for an 11.6" version with 6 cell and N450 which would be my perfect machine and my budget is £250, all of which I'm sure is possible if I wait but this is soooo tempting!

Must. Resist.

haha it does look tempting, i ended up buying a new high capacity battery for my reg laptop or i would have bought it myself.
if a 11.6 or 12" vers is released its bound to cost over or around the 300 mark
good reason to wait however would be the fact that more models are including nvidia ion graphics (not sure how hd videos run with the n450 processor)
