Good deal considering Ebuyer says it comes with XP installed, however the product code they use suggests that it may be the Linux version.
Still - even without the XP license it appears to be cheaper than from anywhere else.

Anyone rating this cold please spare a moment to post where it is cheaper - thanks Scoobie

Ebuyer made this mistake before, Linux is pre-installed not XP.

Is it not still a good price though even with Linux?
Seems cheaper than Play, Amazon and Argos

It was cheaper a month or two back though that was apparently a mistake as it was withdrawn from sale.

I haven't seen many retailers selling this model, most are offering the 16gb for something like ~£210. I wouldn't be surprised if this was withdrawn again and orders cancelled.

Can't hurt to try though if you're after one.

comparison list of all the eee models there,

seems like a pretty good deal, seems pretty similar in spec to the £180 acer aspire models.
Would be more tempting if it came with a bigger battery

Oh , not a big hard drive though . I splashed out on the Eeepc 1000H on Sunday at Comet . What a machine ..... 160g drive and everything else to boot . These things are really catching on now and will get better next year .

Wouldn't be an XP machine with only a 8GB drive. Not a bad deal though. As above, if you're patient, give it some time. These things have only been around a little over a year, and look how far they've come. With competition heating up and some real quality models appearing, this is a scene that's going to reach some great heights next year.

I'd ordered one of these, from ebuyer, before reading this listing. Once I read your concerns I called the ebuyer customer line; they confirmed it does have Windows XP Home preinstalled, I feel the guy on the phone was just reading from the listing though rather than actually investigating further.

With this in mind I've raised an eNote with ebuyer asking them to confirm it does have XP Home installed and not Linux, I'm waiting for their response.

I'll keep you informed.....

Thanks for that mate - fingers crossed it does, as I must admit I'm tempted to buy one! :whistling:

Cheers, Scotty Boy!

It seems ebuyer have changed the product description - now it's showing as Linux

Sorry about the delay in updating you.

I eventually got a response to my enote from ebuyer claiming that I was trying to contact the wrong department, not very helpful at all.

I cancelled my order not wishing to have a Linux EEE PC and ordered an Asus EEE PC 904 (with XP) instead, I paid a little more but am very happy with the system.
