#7
to be honest, it should really be 169.18 in the price box.
Quidco is usually not counted when putting price in.
#8
It looks like a stormtrooper's turd in white :w00t:
#9
Most of us on here pay VAT you bird brain!
#10
quidco shouldn't be included as many others have said, so £169.
#11
This one says with web-cam, but I can't see one in the picture.

The one from expansys has no web cam.

Price on the button link needs to change....:whistling:

LOL. Why put the price pre-vat? This is a consumer deals forum not business forum.
#14
Too many people are complaining about price. I wonder where OP is.
I think it would have got more heat if it displayed the correct pricing.

I have reported it to mods anyway for editing.
#15
It's not £139.99 for normal consumers is it? Please add on VAT.

sounds like what you need is a Popcorn hour A-110 which comes out soon...

http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/index.php?pluginoption=catalog&task=info&item_id=6&main_id=0&category_id=

at the moment it costs $215, so expect it to be about £150 when it comes out in UK.

edit: sorry, I think the only problem with the popcorn hour unit is that it isn't wireless. sorry.
#17
Wow what a good price!

shhhhhhhhhhh.... OP is asleep.

It is infact, 169
Now as expansys one is expired this is cheapest anyway.
#19
Cold because OP has excluded VAT to get more views, pathetic.

Ordered the Asus EEE 900 last week from Misco for £239.68 inc vat and delivery. Excellent service from them. Think it's gone up now though.

It'd be pretty useless if it didn't.

I think people are trying to clear some of these before the Elonex £100 mini laptop comes out at the end of the month.

Doubt it. More likely the market has widened with HP, Acer and MSI/Advent/Medion entering the market and more on the way. The Elonex is not in the same class as these netbooks and will struggle, I fear, despite being announced at £99. Most likely it will end up costing something around the £130 market, depending upon demand.

In August, Misco are offering £7.50 cashback on all Acer laptops purchased through quidco plus the standard 4% - has this been taken into consideration?

Nothing to do with Asus bringing out like 5 new EEE PC models in the past couple of months?

I dont think so, the price you end up paying is in the headline! cant you read!

I have however amended the headline to show the value you pay at the checkout ( ie not including any cashback you'd get from quidco):-D
#32
is this worth getting for basic stuff or is it worth waiting abit for something better, dont want to spend anymore than £200 for surfing etc,
cheers pete
#33
i have the black one of these. ace little laptop. use it for surfing around the house, take it to meetings and abroad, watch movies (plays xvids) and music etc. Have an 8GB SD card in it for my media.
#34

Doesn't look like any of my turds :p
#37
its ok for windows as long as you put some more ram in it. (check its the model which allows it - the 4G SURF does not and neither does the 2G iirc)
However I dont know why you would want windows on it. theres really no need
#38
I'm guessing the webcam is the black square about an inch in from the left hand side, on the big pictureit is covered by the silver slider

Nope, that's the power button. The webcam is the center of the black rectangle above the screen and the microphone is on the underside of the machine.
