Pixuk0911 should give you $5 off too

Think there is about 3 to 6 percent cash back on it from quidco and topcashback

Postage is £9.80. No idea why the negative votes... Is tehre a better deal?
#4
always cold votes at the start - just the way it is for some reason.

This is a serious contendor instead of the NC-10. ( I have an NC10 btw)

A good deal I'd say and worth a look. hHanks for posting.

edit - main post should have postage identified...

Great little Netbook. My wife has one and uses it all the time. Do not be put off by the hard disk - it is faster than Netbook SSD drives and offer good capacity whilst running cool and silent.

Looks a good deal. WiFi b/g/n, BT, 1GB, 80GB, wide keyboard. OK theHDD is small compared to the competition but should be fine.

Wish people would explain the cold votes! Maybe until someone finds it for £3.99 that's the way it will be. I certainly can't find it anywhere for less than £280, usually as lot more so this gets my vote!

just been looking at the reviews of this really tempted.

this is much better that the acer aspire one granted more pricey (lucky if you got the asda ones otherwise £190 plus) but probably better value at this price especially battery life.

But are Pixmania good to deal with?

also quidco 3% can you use the discount code and get quidco too?

no mention of battery.....or did i miss it??

Included Accessories Mains adapter, battery and neoprene case

I've had one of these through work for the last 3 or 4 months. Can't really fault it, Just keep it away from naked flames! Even a cigarette touching it will make a dirty big mark on the case and anything strong would melt the case badly.

Hence my NC10 arrived today and is charging as we speak. It's keyboard looks better, same number of ports at 1st look, bigger hard drive about the same build. Go it from Dxions for about £285. Didn't really find much use for the 80 GB on the 1000H so I dont think the sorage soze is an issue.

I'll play with teh NC 10 over the weekend and if it's not much better than the 1000H then its back to dixons and I'll get a replacement 1000H instead,

I've got to give teh work one back but having used a net book fro a few months I can safely say. Laptops just arent really where it's at if you are a computer bod like me. I have a dual 24" screen quad core xp pro 64 bit dobrey machine so there no need fro a lap top. One big fast machine for work and one little one for traveling about.

Personally prefer the Msi Wind U100 to these but a good deal all the same and voted hot.

The battery on the 1000 and NC are the best. Pretty much double the staying power of all teh rest. Charge them in the morning. Leave teh charger at home and you can pretty much use them for the best part of the day without the battery dying rather than 2 hours like the others. That's not just the theory. It's true. I've used stack of these netbooks. If you are gettin a net book. Get one with a decent battery. The whole point is portability so you wont want to drag around spare batteries and chargers with you.

Now what they need to sort out is connecting a standard domestic plug to the suckers without a transformer teh you coudl charge up pretty muich anywhere... solar panel on lid?

This is a good deal, although a lot of people don't like using pixmania
#15
not a bad deal but oyyy.co.uk have them with the 160 gig for £273. linux only though, but good price :D
#16
Pixmania are an absolute nightmare to deal with and i'm a shareholder in the parent company DSG International and I made that very clear in all of my dealings with them but still resulted in shocking service

without a doubt the worst customer experience ever, give me an Indian based call centre any day rather than Pixmania
#17
If this or the NC10 could run OSX no issue, I'd be straight there - the build quality lacks slightly on the U100 and the battery life isn't the best. :(

Anything from Pixmania gets voted cold from me Im afraid...

Appalling service, and even if the thing arrives DOA you will have to foot the bill to send the thing back to France!
#19
Can anyone one confirm the £5 off code & 3% quidco ?

Seems like some dont like pixmania, anyone had to send things like laptops etc back to france at own cost?
#20

#21

Precisely why I got a Wind U100 instead, easily as good as an NC10 once you have a 6/9 cell in there.

Pixmania - I'll chop my balls off before I'll order from them again. Widespread negative reviews on the net.

Thats made my mind up !

I'll wait until a more reputable retailer reduces their price.

Cheers
