It's a good card, but it runs very hot. I thought mine was faulty but that's how all the 200 series are apparently. I'm looking at sticking some case fans around it and thinking of ways to secure them because it's just heating up the case so much....

I did want to SLI 2 of them but I don't think I should put another one in there or it will just melt everything! Maybe in winter...

1p cheaper at Scan (don't all rush at once) but with free P&P for various forum users:

More people will have free postage for Scan than OCUK.

The 260's run at ab out 60 degrees from memory with is really nothing for a gfx card these days, quite cool in fact. It's main due to the quiet fan profile used in order to maintain good sound levels with reasonable temps.

That said, Asus are a PITA to get anything replaced by and a lot of people have their not so positive opinions on OcUK as well.. If you can get it from scan.. get it from scan would be my advice :)

If you pay for postage TekHeads is very slightly cheaper than Scan or OcUK. Not sure if they have a bad rep like OcUK!

£126.49 on Scan/todayonly

Tekheads are supposed to be OK, though I've never used them before.

Tekheads are brilliant. A smaller outfit to be sure but always brilliant service.

One thing I would say is the HD4870 and 260 do tie but both running the stock cooler the 260 will run some 20 degrees cooler and a bit quieter for it.

I've been told off for confusing the matter before now but nevermind
If you wan to exceed this sort of performance, run cool and quiet then there is a brilliant card out there for not much more

Normally about £10 less of the today only page.

If someone is looking for GTX 260 (216 cores) this card looks like a better deal --->
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-050-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=927 Mine has lower memory clock 2000MHz compared to 2300MHz Asus card.

Can someone explain the attraction of a 260 at nearly £140 vs a 460 at around £155?
