Even if it were a good deal, I'd vote cold due to the pathetic anti-Apple comment.
I mean really. Get a life.

Not sure I would call this a 'budget tablet', it is manufactured by ASUS - who have a much better reputation for quality than Foxconn.
The basic iPad costs Apple less than £100 to produce. Apple then slap on £300 profit and sell it to mugs with more money than sense.
The production cost of this tablet is probably not dissimilar, but Google have decided to treat its customers with a bit more respect and not screw every last penny out of them.
The Nexus 7 is the best and smoothest tablet I've ever used and yes I've used an iPad on many occasions.
The Nexus 7 might be selling for a cheap price but remember it's being sold at cost price where as the iPad is sold at an estimated £200 profit per sale.
For me the Nexus 7 **** over the iPad in every way.

that is from very. they haven't got a very good reputation.
My comments are because the apple haters say how great things are, but I really can.t see many people 2 years down the line actively using and content with it. For a start it needs anti virus software
Not seen anything on that, I really want one for when the wife is on the iPad and for weekends away..
I.m on a purchase ban, and she.s not happy I said my workmate offered to take my picture being presented with one as a prize/ work gift

however, that said, in 20 months time if there's a problem JL will sort it out unquestioned whereas some other retailers won't be so helpful.

No you don't get a two year warranty in the EU. Try return your 2 year old iPad to Apple store and they'll laugh you out.

"Apple has adapted its warranty to cover 2 years, under pressure of the European Union and after European consumer organizations sued Apple. From the article: 'The warranty conditions have been changed and these changes can be found on the website of Apple. Products that are purchased on the website of the manufacturer or in stores are now under warranty for two years, as it is required by the EU warranty guidelines. However, the warranty for Apple products that have been purchased elsewhere will not change and they will only be given a limited one-year warranty.'"

Does production cost include r&d expenditure do you think apple would have lead this revolution if they sold at a just above cost level, read the press watch the launch video google is going for the mass market (budget) and they state Samsung galaxy and apple will get the high end customers
This is just a joke lol.
