Seems an awful lot of deals for 15 inch laptops coming through in the past few days - which is a good thing.

Not sure about this particular model - can't get my head around all the alpha-numeric names manufacturers give to laptops these days - I am sure it is just to confuse people so you are uncertain whether a particular model is a new model or an old model.

But I have always been impressed with the quality of Asus laptops when I have seen them. Not as plasticky as some other makes.

sorry you are right

If you are going to buy it consider the Asus-X551CA too:

laptop for gaming would start around £600-700

I am in no way slamming your post. but for the extra £20 difference. the 2gb extra RAM and double sized hard drive is well worth the upgrade.

Considering PC world are selling it for £370 this dabs deal is a good deal!

It's because schools/colleges are starting back soon. Laptop deals are always around this time.

Dabs Web site is pants for info But I've found some info here on the Asus Web site. http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/X550CA/overview/

And here the spec page, think it the same, if very close http://eshop.asus.com/en-GB/refurbished-asus-s550ca-notebook-windows-8-15-6-intel-core-i3-2365m-6gb-ram-1000gb-hdd-gbp-en-gb-90nb00y1-m01620.html

Look like a solid M/c for work

Don't forget http://www.topcashback.co.uk/dabs/ at 2.1% before Vat = £5.03 making it 294.96 if it tracks Ok.

That is the problem with these alpha-numeric model names - you are never really sure whether you are buying a new model or one that might be a couple of years old. No doubt that is the reason why so many manufacturers use such numbering.

Is this good for basic gaming then, IE Minecraft? Do ASUS last or?

Yeah, I'm looking for a desktop to play Elite Dangerous on when its released, all the deals seem to be on laptops these days.

Keep your eye out for one of the higher specced 17 inch Dell laptops that they have down to about £600 or less on here every few months.

Boycott because it has Intel chip and because Intel are breathing in and out the same oxygen as Israeli soldiers are on the same planet....

In other news
Id say average for this deal so not voted either way
