Holy shizzle nizzle this is a great deal!

Awesome price... +heat

Not Bad but would rather have DVI and VGA ports extra

hmmm 'next best price is £134 from Pixmania', don't think so as it's pretty much £105-£115 everywhere else. I think there is a mix up between the -M version (uATX) and the standard ATX version here, but nevertheless, a good price.

Agreed, but still a good price. Heat added.

P67 doesn't allow the use of Intel's built in GPU's.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think that's a slightly different model. Asus actually make several boards with very similar model numbers. Looking at the photos, the board layout is different. Not sure the Crescent Electronics one is a 'pro' board (whatever difference that makes!). Good price, though.

Will this fit a atx case as its a micro board

yes it will

I'd stay away from Cresent Electronics, all I keep hearing is very bad things about them from pretty much everyone on hotukdeals.

Very good price for this motherboard. The P series chipsets such as this one allow you to overclock the K series processors but not use the intergrated graphics on the processor, you need the H or Z chipsets for that.

i am holding out for a z68

I have been eyeing this up on Amazon for some time to build a super fast overclocked 2500k machine.

There 'Price For All Three: £317.61' is also not bad, though you may be able to knock a few quid on other sites here and there if you can get free delivery.

The Deluxe one you linked is the ATX board for starters (read: bigger). In general the Deluxe model is not good value for money. It has two LAN "cards" in it (Intel & Realtek), but you drop 2x USB 2.0 ports for the addition of a useless second RJ45 jack. It also comes with a USB 3.0 "box" which is meant to sit in the floppy drive bay.

To be honest I'm not sure why anyone would get the Deluxe one? Also, has little to do with the one in this thread since that is the ATX-M model.

good price, heated

Intel motherboards have sneakily increased in price in recent years, so as to make us think a Micro-ATX m/b without integrated video is cheap at £95. Yes Sandybridge is excellent, but mb prices have got ridiculous.
#19
wish i could afford it, its about time i upgraded my mobo
#20
A great price for a board with many problems.
#21
CHEAP!
#22
no1 buys this motherboard hence the price dropping

It's a shame it doesn't use the onboard GPU's, as my PC needs are pure processing rather than any significant graphics capability.

I don't suppose someone could recommend an equivalent board, similar price and spec but has VGA or DVI available?

You don't want the P67 boards. You need the H67 ones which are much cheaper and allow you to use the graphics chip in the processor.

H67 asus pro

£83.99 on the today only page.

I should point out that you can't overclock with the H67 boards. If you want to do that then I think you need the z68s which allow overclocking and onboard graphics.

Cracking board, especially at this lower price. Have it myself, easily overclocked an i2500k to 4.5GHz, could go some way further.

If its got all the connectors you need, and you don't mind buying a separate dedicated (more powerful than onboard) graphics card, then buy this!

Actually alot of people who are into their networking have major use of that second jack. One simple example is while having your first port for internet, the second can be used for some awesome multimedia connections around the house (gigabit speeds remember), streaming HD content to your xbox/ps3 for example instead of throttling your poor BT internet router or whatever you got.

I would gladly drop x2 USBs to keep transferring data and HD media around my consoles and other PCs in the house at stupidly high speeds :) especially considering motherboards have a redicilous amount of USBs which most people don't use, and its so easy to get more USB sockets onto a PC by spending a measily few quid on extras

Excellent. Had ordered this elsewhere yesterday. Cancelled and saved myself 10 quid. Thanks OP.

This is a fairly standard price the M-ATX of this Mobo. The £130ish is for the Full ATX size Mobo.

You would actually be better off with a newer Z68.

Or you could stick with one network port and buy a gigabit switch for £13 and accomplish your example just as easily.

Basically what I'm saying is both options are equally valid and neither really restricts you.
