The update to the PG278Q, with HDMI and 165Hz Overclock. Make sure to check other sellers for Amazon UK. 1ms TN panel. They had stock until yesterday, so I assume more will be ordered in.

You can also add 3 year accidental damage warranty (transferable on gift/sale) for £40... probably worth it to help hold its value! (:

If you'd be comfortable with 1440p at 24" and 100% scaling that sounds great, if you're planning to use scaling you might as well buy the 27" to make use of the added desktop real estate.

Is it? I just ordered the Dell S2716DG from laptops direct for £475 (I used the Which £20 off voucher)

with 144hz refresh rate? Please give us a link. I don't understand why this deal is cold, could anyone share a link to where it's cheaper?
JC2 at least gave a link to what he considered a better deal.

I'm in the market for a 1440p 144hz monitor myself.

I voted cold by accident. This is a good deal considering what it offers and since it's the TN panel version you'll avoid the issues with the IPS panel (there's loads of reports of poor QC for the asus ips models)

I watched with teary eyes as both Black Friday and Cyber Monday came and passed and had no good deals on 1440p 144hz monitors. I really wish they were cheaper, £500 just seems like a lot of money - I appreciate this might be the best price yet, but it's still "only" by about £20. The Dell looks to be nearly same specs (144 vs 165 hz aside), and £45 cheaper too. Decisions decisions, argh :(

I bought the XB271HU for this price earlier this year, which has an IPS panel. This price (although the cheapest available) is still far too high for what you're actually getting. gg Brexit!

this year's cyber Monday and black Friday is pretty underwhelming.

How is this an upgrade to the pg278q? Only difference is the overclocked 165hz not exactly a worthy upgrade

A fair chunk of the price is Nvdia's proprietary G-Sync tech. AMD's Freesync is, well, free (I think) for monitor manufacturers to use.
A Freesync version of this will likely be around £100 cheaper.

That's a freesync monitor, not gsync, but good price though, thanks :)

Appreciate that some decent spec monitors are finally getting posted but the prices are still too too much for the level of quality you are getting. I'm almost resigned to running my 980ti on my ancient 1680 monitor... or just getting a cheap 1080... that's how long I've been hunting for a good monitor.

That monitor is really nice in every way, apart from having the most severe backlight bleed I've ever seen.

I lucked out, mine has minimal bleed
