ASUS PL-X32 200MBPS Powerline Adapters, Now only £37.99 @ Amazon

I know this probably won't get very hot, but if you're in the market for some of these, Asus hardware is unbeatable and these run very quick.

I bought a pair not so long ago to prevent running a cable over something like 50 meters. I could stream HD movies without flicker.

Great alternative to Wireless and/or running cables everywhere!

Well I saw some 200mbps ones for 34.99 earlier this week, Guess it takes a trained eye though :p

Great, been looking for a set of these to replace my 35mbps ones that wont let me stream big mkvs to my er1401 from my dns323. Hoping this will sort that out.... the whole list of stuff that I mentioned were all impulse buys when they popped on HUKD this last year... dont regret any of them though!

Having used PowerLine adapters before, to fix a problem with a crappy wireless signal, I would recommend them to ANYONE. They're genius devices.

Cold from me.

No power saving mode, so the lifespan of these are just the same as all the other generic ones out there, short.

Constantly on=Heat=Early death.

I currently use the TP-Link TL-PA211. They're small, they don't get overly hot, even when in use for long periods (Which some of mine are) and they power down when not in use to stay cool and prolong their life.

Forgot to mention, I get an average throughput of ~190Mbps with them.

Also forgot to mention, they work perfectly fine in powerstrips that don't have a surge protector.

No power through, so you loose the use of 13 amp socket. Comtrend are better and provide through power.

hey guys, i have 2 computers at the other side of the house, if i connect a router (acting as a switch) to these and feed of 2 cables from the switch to the computers this would be fine right?
