**** For those of us who received faulty ones, call asus on 01442 265548 to initiate free RMA, looks like they're still covered, also call dabs as they're supposedly going to be sending out replacement chargers in case that's the problem.

Asus first recommend you factory resetting it. ****

Hopefully will be better with 4gb ram than those reviewed with 2gb.

1 USB3 port. Should fly with a ssd, bought with extra slim power pack

I didn't understand that slim power pack? I thought it was like.... a separate battery power pack.. with a pitiful 1200mah charge :S
#14
the power pack that was offered to me on checkout is just for charging phones etc.

Yes pitiful is right :( Even if it could be connected somehow to the laptop, it's about one third of the power of the inbuilt battery

iffy reviews for the 2gb RAM version, 4gb should involve less swap usage and a faster experience

found someone who has taken the x102ba apart, their ram was soldered and could not be upgraded, see http://unofficialx102.wordpress.com/2013/12/02/x102ba-unboxing-and-disassembly/

BT Shop and Dabs are the same company, when you order from Dabs it makes a few references to BT Shop.

Just to update from their Wiki:

In April 2006, it was announced that BT Group had purchased dabs.com for an estimated £30m and that the business would become a wholly owned subsidiary of BT.

Amazing. Considering windows 8 is about £70, stick an SSD in there and you should have a netbook grade great and fast experience

Apologies to MrStu, I was half asleep still when I posted that, for some reason didn't notice the link explaining it making my post totally pointless.

Does anyone know if this would struggle with Adobe Lightroom or Football Manager?
#37
Anyone know which SSD would be compatible with this as likely to give it extra oomph I guess?

Thanks in advance
