Seems like 1070 deals are everywhere at the moment!

I was looking for a quiet 1070 that looks great and this one reviews extremely well. Note this is the non factory OC model but I see no reason why it cannot be overclocked manually.

For me it was a toss up between this and the EVGA FTW 1070 which is also on a deal at Amazon for around £380 so I went for the cheaper of the two. Both great cards.

12 in stock as of 9pm 07/01.

Asus strix 1070 vs Asus strix 1080? which one should I get for my PC?

I have i7 6700k, Asus hero mobo.

Thanks

You should definitely buy 4 x 1080s and SLI them and buy 4 x 4k TVs to plug them into OR you could learn how to use Google, read some information and make a decision for yourself based on your actual requirements vs budget...

Great card . I have the oc version and it runs the witcher 3 at over 100 fps and when limited to 60fps the fans barely switch on and it stays below 55c .
It is huge tho so make sure you have room in your case and it is also very heavy and sages a bit . Also on an old i5 2500 mobo I had to update my mobo drivers as it was causing problems

This is a great deal at the moment. I have a feeling the prices are going to drop soon but I have been putting off for a while. It was finally time to bite the bullet.

great price, by far the lowest its ever been.

£20 odd difference between this and the EVGA which were my must have cards of the range, yes the OC version is faster, but this is cheaper than the OC by some margin

I'm putting one in an ITX build, its been a nightmare, but the benefit is that I've now realised that my tape measure skills must be put to the test first, then speeds, then cost, then revisit speeds, tape measure skills, before ordering. All of which has resulted in OOS messages by the time I've done all that.

Running the OC version and can't fault it, runs BF1 on my 2k monitor at about 90fps on ultra settings.

In the same boat, this ASUS does have a backplate which the black edition evga does not!

Gonna be months. In the meantime until it is installed in your machine we can watch how fast it renders your games right now:

For £21.85, I've sent the EVGA back and gone for this... The backplate and the extra fan swayed me! :)

If I understand correctly, the card is huge, heavy, saggy, consumes a lot of power, you are only using half of it's potential. That makes card great?

Anyway to get around Prime membership or the only way to get this is to sign up?

Power consumption is slightly higher then the reference 1070 - Guru3D test

You can take out the 30 day prime membership trial and then just cancel just before it renews.

It consumes less power than my 7950 that it replaced , I am only using half the potential on the witcher 3 which I used as a demonstration of its speed but some games take more power and I bought it too play games for the next 5years probably which I am confident that it will . As for "huge ,heavy and saggy" arnt these all basically the same point . I was just saying that you should check your case specs for the length and all top end cards are large /heavy .
