While I have a GTX970 ITX in my HTPC and think they are great cards, They are getting on a bit now considering they first landed in 2014. I think by now we should be seeing them at £170-£180 at most otherwise most people are just going to plumb for the RX470/RX480, unless they are especially loyal to Nvidia, which are similarly priced or cheaper.

Though I'm not especially loyal to either I think I am starting to build a slight preference towards Nvidia as I think their GPU specific features like DSR, Gsync and Nvidia Shield integration add more for me personally than AMDs comparatively lesser feature set...

Still fantastic cards for that price nonetheless. Have to agree however, NVIDIA offer better optimisation and software (regardless if they monopolise for it!)

VSR = DSR, Freesync = Gsync, Nvidia Shield integration = adds very little for the most people.

AMD have HDR in this price range plus they are be better suited to future dx12/Vulkan. Makes no sense to buy a 970 for this price.

Yawn, you buy on real world performance not on paper specs if sensible unless you fell for that AMD octo core CPU nonsense?

To be honest, the 970's are becoming more and more tempting, considering the prices, the second hand market, the general disdain shown for the 1060 3gb and the stock problems and inflated prices of the 1060 'full fat'.
