hehe thanks. marktime was wong with the price because you cant get free delivery for £23.77. You have to spend £24 least to get free delivery on Scan
even though avfourm states £20!!

Hence the reason why I added the £0.24 modem adaptor ;) lol

Unless you find something cheaper then £0.24 on Scan then you won't beat my price lol

it's £20 + vat = £24 for free delivery

was £23.50 pre 4th jan.

scan do have some very good deals, especially with the free shipping available. They have rapidly become my preferred supplier over the past few years, much improved from when I started using them about 10 years ago.

lol scans always got a 1 day deal going at cheap prices so people post the deals!! Scan is 1 of the best sites on the internet as well as overclockers, ebuyer etc...

Try to put just the item which is £23.77 in the basket and then go to checkout! I bet you won't get free delivery and it will say £3.99 carrier!! ;) So you have to add another item like I did for £0.24 to get the free delivery....

Because as they've already explained...it's £20 excluding VAT for free delivery, so it's £24 with.

If you have no use for the modem adapter, here are a few more cheap items that you may find useful to make up the price for free delivery -

White USB2 A to Mini B Cable - 59p
3m USB2 Cable (B to B) - 30p
Cable Jacket Stripper - 47p
43cm Scan Serial ATA Cable SATAII - 62p
3.5mm stereo plug into 2x 3.5mm - 71p
3.5mm Headphone to RCA STEREO Phono - £1.18
3m UK Power Cable (Kettle Lead Type) Moulded with UK Plug (Suitable for PSU's) BS Approved - £1.79
100 Pack Cable Ties 200mm X 2.5mm - £1.18

Cable ties would be my preference, they always come in handy when building systems or just tidying them up and it's so cheap you can't really order them on their own unless you pay for delivery. Perfect to fill the price gap.

Bear in mind this card needs a PCIe x4 slot so won't fit in a spare x1 slot.

"Unfortunately you only have 0 posts, so please make 20 more useful posts on AVForums to qualify for the SCAN & AVForums loyalty programme."

:( Has this loophole been closed, or did I do something wrong (even though I followed all steps above)?

Have you ever posted on avfourms? You done something wrong. Your account is telling you that you have never posted in avfourms! You need to go on avfourms and post 20 random posts if you aint posted yet! Oh and you have to be a member for more then a week!!

If that dont help you then tell me and I'd try and give you a way to bypass the post checker ;)

If you just want USB 3.0, Good manufacturer (Gigabyte) and only takes PCI-E x1 (I don't have a spare x4 on my board so x1 is better and the speed difference is minimal, at least for USB 3.0), you would need to buy something else with it to get it at this price -
