Looking for a new laptop/ultrabook and came across this. Decent specs, battery life and light weight. Hope those in the know on here can advise if a decent deal or not? Read More

Looks good if you're in it for the battery life and weight - as long as you know you're paying a premium for this.

Yep but could do better if 1080p is all you need?

Very expensive

Agreed. Seems at least £100 too expensive imo.
Plus I'm not sure why they put such high resolution screens in such small laptops. I'd say FHD is ample for

I was also looking for a similar laptop and just a week ago Currys had Lenovo 710 with a better i7 processor and similar metallic body + better screen for 710£ (after cashback etc) on offer. Screens on these Zenbooks arent too good.

Strange I was looking at a new laptop this time last year and wanted a decent screen myself, I'm sure all the reviews I saw put these in the top 2 or 3. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Yes, very expensive considering it was £639 for a week when first listed on Amazon 2 months ago.

Suggest going to a store like Currys and seeing the 2 screens side by side. You will see what I mean.

That's the last thing I would consider doing. I'm pretty sure neither machine would be setup to perform at it's best and had been messed around with by customers for months too. I would rather trust specs & reviews and then order and send it back if not good enough.

Ok Sir, whatever rocks your boat :)

I just found it easier and faster to look at them in flesh next to eachother (rather than ordering online, paying for them and then taking back to the store). As for on-line reviews, these can be subjective. As for specs i think i7 > i5 and 710£ is a little cheaper than 749£.
