This phone is true One plus 3 killer. Does not cut corners like one plus 3. Gorilla glass 4", 23mp camera with 4k recording, Qualcomm quick charge 3, USB 3, nfc, micro sd all UK bands .

Can't tell if you're trolling xD

Both phones use Gorilla Glass 4, have NFC, have 64GB internal storage and have 4k recording. OP3's Dash Charge has been tested to be faster than Quick Charge and both have the same battery capacity. The only advantages I can see the Zen has is that it has a slightly bigger screen (at the same 1080p res) if you want it, USB 3, dual flash LED, MicroSD slot, and the faster 821 chipset.

Build quality wise, my nieces OP2 has no problems and I don't know of any issues with the OP3. I highly doubt Asus are better than OP at software updates considering they have a range of products to keep an eye on, whereas OP only have 3 with a demanding community always wanting fixes and features that OP seem to listen to (they're releasing an update to the OP2 to add support for VoLTE(?) in India).

I have no use for an extra fancy camera when the OP3 is more than adequate. I don't use much storage, although I can see the need for it if you decide to film in 4K or just take a crap ton of photo's without bothering to backup them up somewhere. I don't have USB 3 on my computer so that's useless to me at the moment. The faster chipset would be better for VR I assume but otherwise overkill. I'd also rather have as close to stock android as possible which the OP3 pretty much is compared to ZenUI.

Being £140 more expensive than the OP3, it's certainly not an OP3 killer in my opinion. I'd also be curious if that deal includes a Quick Charger as it doesn't mention it. Where as the OP3 does come with the Dash Charger as standard.

Just read the One plus 3 listing on this site. How many people are complaining about One plus 3 camera, screen and other software problems etc. Micro sd slot, Qualcomm quick charge 3, USB 3, Good screen or camera sensors are not present on One plus 3 to cut corners.

LeEco Le Pro 3 with its 8gb ram, 2k screen, dual 13mp cameras, 16mp front camera, 5000mah battery etc should be better than both these phones. And the only phone worth considering so far to replace my note 4.

would anyone risk this kinda cash on a relatively unknown supplier?

Xiomi also does not come with UK bands and not available to buy in UK

considering the very attractive price range the zenfone 2 was when it was released this seems wildly overpriced. I paid a little over £200 for the top spec zf2 on release which was considered a flagship device. Now there wanting double....

It's a shame, now my eye is on the Redmi note 4 sorry Asus 8)

they do release them with global ROM, and I think includes all the UK bands but not 100% on that one. But for most it's only the o2 band that's missing so wouldn't affect a lot of people

Redme note 4 is a Chinese model which can work correctly only in China and India. People buying Chinese phones with UK bands missing are only buying tablets not phones. At least One plus 3 and this phone have all UK bands

Global Rom means nothing if the phone does not have UK bands. TDD Lte models are made to work in China and India only. In Europe the the Lte or 4g is FDD. When buying a tablet, it may not matter, but when buying a phone we want the best reception and best download speed possible.

Xiaomi do now have "international" versions which support b20 lte (Vodafone for example) don't just rule them all out based on older models.

Post one here which is available to buy in UK. May make a good buy if it does not cut corners like One plus 3

Why would you send your money to China to a company with no UK presence?

Op3 cuts corners and build quality to achieve this price. Many other phones like Samsung and Apple are more expensive than this phone but sell like hot cakes, people will still buy if they get more in return.

Asus have priced this wrong.

How can you say that? All Samsung, LG, Apple, HP new phones with similar specs are more expensive. At least it has not cut corners like One plus 3

Far too much to pay for a chinese phone with warranty in China.
I wonder if it will appear in the UK under a network same as OP3.

Asus have a presence in UK unlike One plus 3. ASUS have been selling Asus computers and peripherals for so many years in UK and Europe . It is UK model and comes with UK warranty unlike One plus 3 where you have to send it to China. Just get your facts right.

I have bought before from both one plus and egobal. While the one plus was posted from China, eglobal was posted from UK. One plus 3 model sold in UK is the same model sold in Asia so comes with TDD LTE B38, B40 bands which are prohibited in UK. In UK we only use FDD Lte so One plus 3 wastes battery power on TDD Lte bands which are not even in use in UK.

Same business model as Honor. Release cheap flagship, build up fan base, release (better) follow up phone but comparatively much more expensive

There is no comparison between this and Huawei Honor. Huawei use their own cheap and rubbish Kirin cpu which is in comparison with Qualcomm snapdragon 820 inside this phone. Qualcomm has best cpu, gpu and modem in Snapdragon 820.

Rip off. Poor support and build quality. Ice cold.
