Thanks for this. I'll definitely book something. The only thing I did when I saw Blood Brothers was cringe! I hated it and wanted to leave during the interval!

No worries mate, i've wanted to see a few acts myself, so i have no excuse now and some of them have much bigger discounts than the standard half price offer.

Does anyone have any recommendations to a theatre virgin? :-D

No flaming intended, but isnt LastMinute the mob who keep appearing on Watchdog for selling tickets to phantom gigs and other less than pleasant activities? If so, exercise a healthy degree of caution. If not, please accept my apologies and I'll promise not to post at half six in the morning again :)

I haven't seen blood brothers, but I felt like this during The Woman in Black. Can't believe it has been running so long!

Blood brothers is tremendous seen it twice and probably enjoyed it more the 2nd time it's excellent. Didn't think much of We will rock you, the whole thing was ridiculous
#11
Am I missing something? We Will Rock You tickets only apply to shows before May 3rd, ie tomorrow???
#12
I beg you all to watch Avenue Q. I have never seen anything so rip roaringly, side splittingly funny, ever.

Blue Man Group is an absolute bargain at ten quid too.
#13
Oh and a side note, Avenue Q really isn't for kids, despite having puppets in it. It's very much an adult show....

Does anyone know if TREATS is any good, i'm also considering seeing that and if you book for before May 19th, it's £15 including booking fee and £49.50 afterwards for the best seats in the house. :)

to the poster above who wondered if lastminute.com's tickets are reliable: we bought two half-price tickets from them for Cabaret (which I'd recommend) which were marked as 'best available seat' - at 3 days notice. We ended up being in the middle of the second row of the stalls, in seats which are £60 each when full price, and only paid £17.50 each...
