Bear in mind the Vol. 1 can be had cheaper (if you have Amazon Prime using £2 prime discount) for £16.99 @ Amazon. Also, currently 10p cheaper than Base to preorder from Boomerang but I am sure it won't be long until Base drop another 15-20p to beat them. However, I hope this post gives them the urge/push. X)

Feels steep. £20 for the 2, surely. Still, I'm sure I'll be tempted.

This is getting tempting. I think if there was some way I could get them down to £15 each I'd probably bite. Will have to hope for a last minute price war before it comes out. That said there is no good reason beyond greed they couldn't have released them both together as one collection, and this kind of thing is better IMHO as a digital download you can just dip into when you feel like it and not have to worry about having the disc in.

Still heated for the much more reasonable price, last time I looked the Amazon price was £25!

I know retro is great but these for me are just to0 antiquated to get much fun out of playing them. I would rather play the original arcade versions as most of the 2600 arcade conversions are dire. No Activision games either so Pitfall, Chopper Command and River Raid, some of the all time best Atari 2600 games are not included.

Still cheaper digitally (PS4 / XB1) and availbale now.
TBH, you'll tire of these in a few minutes, never to return - so disc might be the better option ;)

Heat added for price.

However, I can't help feeling it was a bit of a push to release these as two volumes. Especially considering 'Atari Anthology' on PS2/Xbox had 85 games on one disc!

For any PC owners the Atari Vault collection over on Steam is probably much better value. It's currently £14.99 for 100 games.
Unless I'm missing something with the benefits of "remastering" 2600-era graphics.

Must be nigh on impossible getting all those games to fit on a single Bluray disc. Guess thats why they have 2 volumes (_;)

Haha - all the ROMS probably amount to less than 1MB but the download sizes for these collections are over 400MB each.
