I just bought a Dell Vostro 220

Will this graphics card work ok with it/fit in it?

Hmm, difficult to tell what mobo the Dell Vostro has and if it has a powerful enough power supply. Have a look at the manual and see if there is a PCI Express slot. See if there is mention of the power supply wattage, it'll need to be atleast 350-400 I would imagine.

A quick search reveals that code 5FWY-Z72W-6YC2-T8YN-FHW3 will give £3 off (I haven't tested it)

you'll probably have to check your power supply. i'm pretty sure this card needs a 6-pin pci-e power connector to provide its power. your psu may not have one and might not have enough oomph in the wattage department. otherwise should be fine.:)

You would have to upgrade your Power Supply Unit (PSU).

Sorry off the topic. I am looking for a budget (£50 top) quiet card with hdmi and support dual monitor to replace current single output ati 3650 on my dell. what's the best option. thanks.
#13
Is this better than the 8800 GTX?
#14
Will this fit small form pc's? ie does it have a low profile adaptor?

Yes, but not substantially... if your seeing sluggish performance in some games then consider the 4890 or get another 8800GTX in SLI

i've got the asus version of this card in my dell. it doesn't require an extra power connector so you wont have to replace the psu. runs the likes of fallout 3 ok. hope this helps.

Well thats fine and well, but it still doesnt make it a bargain, its the same as tekheads price practically and its only a couple of quid more expensive at other places.

does this have a hdmi socket on it or will I have to buy an ati dvi-hdmi adaptor as I did when I bought my ati hd4670 card?
#26
This seems a typical price for these at the moment, only 39p more at Ebuyer and they do the 512mb version for £74.98 which by all accounts performs exactly the same.

These PowerColor cards do have quiet fans and onboard hdmi sockets which is handy.

If I hadn't abandoned my PC to pursue PS3 gaming (or more accurately, trophy hunting), I'd love to buy this!
