Total price is for 2 people. And you get breakfast, dinner and unlimited access to the water parks. At £175 a person I think it's worth it if you happen to be going to Dubai anyway

@bossyboots i stayed there for a week last november with my family, we usually stay at the jumeirah beach hotel when we go to dubai

Last November we decided to try the Atlantis Palm. All we could think of was that we should not have doubted the Jumeirah Beach hotel as being the best. The 2 hotels are totally different when comparing levels of service and atmosphere. Don't even mention the so called beach at the Atlantis.

unfortunately the atlantis is over hyped, is too big and has no personal atmosphere ... imagine an expensive version of butlins and you will get the general picture

if you are going to dubai there are a lot better 5 star hotel to choose from. don't believe all the marketing that is pushed about the atlantis

Considering the brainless twonk that is Wayne "Greedy Bastardo" Rooney has paid over £1m for a holiday there recently - this is a bloody steal.

Is Dubai real with going for a holiday? To me going to a Muslim country where you could get throw in jail for waving a Shoe at a local is not my idea of fun.
#14
This is just for one night only so cold for me!

Go out to Yas Island Hotels , if there is no GP on the prices are very good ,

waving a Shoe
Austin powers quote , "Who throws a shoe? Honestly "

'trigger_andy' it isn't actually that strict.. It's a really amazing country to visit although this offer again is only one night only..!
#18
How can this be called top class when they allow people like Peter Andre in - the above comparing it to Butlins must be correct as this is his usual choice for performing.
Would not book to stay there on the chance that you might have to mix with with him or Shrek - my standards are much higher than that!!!!

I live in Dubai and have been to the Atlantis to eat a few times. Great restaurants and good food but the hotel itself is a bit plastic fantastic and absolutely huge.

The waterpark is good but can all the rides can be done in about 2 hours.

They hold great pool or beach partys at the weekends, if you are that way inclined

I can think of a thousand other places to go apart from Dubai! Totally FAKE, man made, ostentatious material driven place. Save your money and go somewhere else!

VotVoted cold – for the unsustainable monstrosity of the place.

Effectively built by slave labour and just about the definition of vulgarity – an indoor ski slope, an air conditioned beach (which I know was planned but don’t know if it ever got finished) in the most unsustainable location in the world…

Think I’ll pass, thanks;)

The thing is I have worked in a few predominantly Muslim countries, Saudi, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, etc so I have seen first hand what goes on there and how the locals actually are.Getting escorted around with armed guard's, being restricted to camps after night fall as other Companies have had there employees hi-jacked and be-headed having the Arm patrol work sites to stop Terrorist attacks are not fun at all,and yes, work mates jailed for waving a Shoe in return to a local who did the same to them after he nearly caused a serious accident. So unlike most on here, I am not actually brainwashed, do you have such first hand experience?

Brainwashed!!! This deal is for November so make sure you do not have a cold, as many cold and flu medicines are illegal in Dubai and carry a four year jail sentencem even Tixylix is a controlled substance. Strong painkillers like Codeine also carry a four year sentence if you even have them in your bloodstream. Check your bags and clothing for poppy seeds which could fall off your airport sandwich as this also leads to a 4 year sentence. It is also worth checking the soles of your shoes as even a trace of drugs there can land you in prison.

No kissing in public, no short skirts for women and off course men keep your top on as this is an offense. There are many less risky places to travel than this but be careful if you decide to go.

Again you make out that the locals like nothing more than beheading people!

I've no first hand experience of Saudi, Algeria etc though I have been to Egypt (which is predominantly Islamic) and it never felt any worse/different than being on holiday in another culture. Just take care as you would if you went to LA, NYC, Rio, South Africa etc.. hell, I was once menaced in a village high street so your never really safe!

Of course, you could just respect their customs and not wave your shoes about! I've lived in the UK for years and never felt compelled to wave a shoe at anyone so why should I suddenly fear doing it whilst on holiday?

uh anyway I think we're straying form the point. Voted cold as that sounds a bit expensive for something where you'll spend most of the time unconsciously unaware of the luxury around you - unless the air has a 20% higher oxygen concentration or something

Edited By: bushmaster80 on Oct 27, 2010 13:27: to make sense

That is just moronic - What you say is simply not true. Anyway If I waived my shoe here at home at anybody in aggresive manner I could be arrested. What a silly thing to say.

I have to agree with that although I would possibly reccomend to go for a couple of days just to see it but only the once.
#36
Make sure you take plenty of spending money with you! It's very expensive over there at the moment to do anything.

Disagree, you make the holiday how you want it to be and if you want to have a relaxing luxurious time you can. Or if you want to do activities throughout, then that is what it offers you. I mean in all seriousness at £175 pp with all the things you can do in the hotel and how luxury it is, i'm sure its worth a punt?

Granted give you that much, will just add for rich chavs, the Middle East sees Dubai as a bit of a joke
