I have one of these, and it cost twice that a year ago.

They're very good once you find the right place for the aerial.

I would also like to know. But then again, a splitter would work with a long rf cable.

This one got posted a while ago and got some good comments:

It's even cheaper now at £21.21 inc delivery but doesn't have a remote control.

Hi, Nick_sub beat me to posting this particular equivalent from eBuyer. Not sure whether the ATMT comes with BDA drivers but this one from eBuyer definitely does and furthermore the latter works with GB-PVR.

QF: 101191 @ £24.95+delivery is similar and comes with a Remote Control however this product does not work satisfactorily with GB-PVR.

Hope this helps.

OK, hmmm, can you help with some code breaking as well please...

Like ATMT, BDA, GB-PVR...

ATMT is just the brand of this device.

GB-PVR is a highly regarded freeware (I think) program to control it. MacNewbieInTraining: from what you said this ATMT device isn't compatible with it? It isn't on their supported list on the website.

Maybe MacNewbieInTraining can explain what BDA is?

bda are the drivers needed to make it compatable with mce , afaik

MCE?!

Hi,

Apologies for any confusion. Not tested the ATMT DVB-T Receiver mentioned in OP with GB-PVR (an excellent PC PVR application) someone else asked whether this device was supplied with BDA drivers which is why I'd mentioned GB-PVR.

QF: 101191 @ £24.95+delivery is similar to the ATMT DVB-T Receiver. This comes with BDA drivers however and this does not work satisfactorily with GB-PVR.

BDA drivers are needed for use with GB-PVR.

Hope this helps.

Please note, the aerials that come with these dvdt sticks are tripe, you'll more than likely need to use your rooftop one. Just a word of advice as I brought 2 before Crimbo and the signal is non-existent.

Hi, MCE and GB-PVR (probably other applications also).

Kind Regards.

Hi, Agreed. Wouldn't recommend using the supplied antennas with any of these DVB-T Receivers unless your nearest transmitter is visible from where you're trying to do a channel scan.

Kind Regards.

Seconded!

I don't understand what most of this thread is about (too many acronyms! :-( ) but regards an indoor aerial,I am assuming you mean an aerial that you would use with a tv.......after having been given a freeview box for crimbo for a portable tv,our old aerial just wouldn't do the job.went to asda and picked up an indoor aerial for £20,looks a bit like a mini satellite dish, but it works a treat.Signal strength is now maximum and the box scanned and found all channels.

I hope this is what you mean,if not ignore my ramblings!

Thanks for the pointer edi :)

Interesting to know the indoor aerial works fine with FreeView muckypup :pirate: Thanks!
