Looks smart but still more than I would be willing to pay, voted hot for price.
How does this compare to the Denon DM40 with the Zensor 1s?

Cheers

Only just noticed it's FM radio, would have preferred DAB, not really interested in Internet radio. Main reason for looking at this is the CD player, which would allow me to use my large CD collection as well as digital stuff on PC. May see if there is alternative with similar spec and DAB.

Very tempted, bit undecided between this and pair of Sonos Play ones
I have 2 Play 1s - suspect the Denon/Zalis will sound better but the beauty of the sonos stuff is that each speaker is compact and standalone, i.e. they don't need to connect by wire to an amp, so can be very flexible re placement etc - also can run them as a pair or singly in different rooms etc. However, if this is not important to you and you intend to set it up in one location, leave it there permanently I would probably go for the Denon tbh.

I've FOUND THE CEOL VERY FLAKEY and the app...but then Marantz and Denon are the same company
Hi,
I'm in serious quandary. You can get the Denon Ceol Piccolo DRA-N5 with Q Acoustics 2010i Speakers for as little as 320, which in theory is a serious audio setup. The Denon has airplay support built and USB playback for iDevices and as bonus has optical output too.

Since you have a Sonos Play 5, and the Marantz is a similar setup to the Denon. How you would compare the sound quality of the two systems? I would assume that the Marantz with it's separate speakers would sound better, but question is how much better to be a real problem?

Thanks.

What are your thoughts?

had a really good think before purchasing this, i have sonos play5, which is quite portable around the house where i want it, i am getting very minimalistic as i get older and now the less is more now, everything is stored on my NAS, no need for cd, turntable and i have dab, so this suits me down to the ground, otherwise i would have comtemplated a m-cr610, got the speakers with a light walnut finish.
thats a matter of opinion, i think mine sounds better than play 5, but that all depends on what you are playing, if i had the choice would get this over a play 3, the only problem is a sonos is more mobile, this has the same funtionality, internet radio etc

So this has more functionality and sounds better than sonos 3 ?
