Shame its not a 3 component selector instead, good price, but limited useabilities these days for connectivity. Good for those with retro consoles that need switching though.
Goes a little beyond that cico.

E.g. if you want to split audio from vaious sources e.g. an iPod, Freesat Box, PS3 etc, you can do without connecting video cable. It's passive and not actively powered which is another plus.
I've used these for component instead of composite, and they work fine! Even the connecting cables I used were bog standard composite cables - I'm assuming there's no difference in the cables, just the signals (excluding shielding and build quality of course) unless someone knows better?

I used a pair - one for the video part of component (3 cables) and one for audio. It did mean switching 2 switches instead of 1 but it is a very cheap solution if your tv only has one component input.
Great post. Ordered one immediately, been looking for something like this for a while just for routing audio sources.:-D
